And take a nice deep breath in all the way down into your belly,
And part the lips,
Slowly sigh it out.
Feel your body supported by the surface beneath you.
Notice the sense of the ground holding you steady.
And as you connect to whatever you sit upon or lie on,
Shift your focus to your breath.
Just the arrival and the departure without too much effort.
Inviting each inhale to help you arrive into this current moment,
And each exhale like a chance to release anything that might be weighing you down.
And even though the focus has shifted to the breath,
Can you stay away from taking the control,
And allow it to remain easy.
Easy.
Allow it to be a passive movement of the breath in and out.
And as you settle a little deeper into whatever shape you've chosen,
Imagine a warm welcoming space,
Somewhere within you,
Your heart home.
Maybe right in the center of the chest.
Imagine it however it appears to you.
It might be a cozy room with a warm fire,
Perhaps a peaceful garden,
A place that welcomes a sense of comfort and safety.
It's created just for you.
Then use each breath as an opportunity to settle even more into the space.
Notice how it feels to be here.
Quiet.
Steady.
Loved.
Allow this space like a hug to hold you,
Exactly as you are.
Without any expectation.
Without any challenge.
And as you rest here in your heart home for a few moments,
I invite you to repeat the following words,
Either silently in your mind or aloud upon the lips.
