Take a moment and tune into your breath and when you're ready I invite you to gently close your eyes.
And take some time to notice how the air moves in through the nose,
Down your throat,
Expanding your lungs and then releasing out through the nose once again.
And without judging the pace or the time it takes to draw a breath in or release one out.
Enjoy a few cycles of your natural breath.
And take a moment to give yourself permission to enjoy some self care.
Breathing and settling,
Perhaps you notice how your body moves with the breath.
The gentle cycle in and out.
What might you notice about this wave like force in your body?
This breath that moves with you every day.
You might even imagine that breath moving in such a way that you can see the energy.
And that energy is love or safety or gratitude.
Imagine drawing that energy into your lungs and into your body.
Fortifying you,
Making you stronger,
Adding to your compassion or your courage.
Imagining that that energy might be a color.
What might it be?
Breathing in and breathing out in this safe,
Grounded space.
I invite you to think about yourself or a recent event for which you'd like to forgive yourself.
Repeat the following words in your mind.
I am sorry.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Take a moment to notice how you feel in this moment.
How the words I am sorry spoken to yourself feel.
You might even notice if there's anything different about your body,
If there's a place that you notice that has relaxed or released some tension.
Still breathing and still safe.
Turning to your inner self again,
To your inner child.
Repeat the following words.
Please forgive me.
Imagine forgiveness washing over you in a glory of light or like the flow of water.
What does that feel like?
Breathing in and out,
Noticing that you can feel this peace,
This forgiveness at any point during your day.
You might also notice that you have the power to forgive yourself anytime you'd like.
Taking a moment to check in with your breath and your body again.
Notice how you feel now.
Maybe even allowing a little smile to pass over your lips.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Once more,
Turn to your inner self and repeat the words.
Thank you.
What is it like to thank yourself?
What is it like to express this gratitude to your inner self,
Your inner child?
The self who may not receive this gratitude often.
Maybe even noticing what color thankfulness or gratitude might have right now as it fills your body.
As you repeat the words,
Thank you in your mind.
Breathing once more,
Turning to yourself,
Still breathing,
Still grounded in this safe space.
I invite you to repeat the following words.
I love you.
What color love might be for you today?
Maybe imagining it as a beautiful garment or blanket woven from this color.
What might it be like to wrap this material around yourself?
To protect you and strengthen you.
Still breathing,
Let's sit here for a moment and enjoy the feelings associated with these phrases.
I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
As you breathe and sit in this safe space,
I invite you to take a moment and imagine someone sitting beside you.
This person may have wronged you or you may have done something against them.
Or if you'd like,
You can also just envision the world around you,
Your family,
Your community,
Your city,
Or even the entire world.
What might it be like to express these statements to the other being or the world around you?
Take a moment to imagine telling this other person or the world in general,
I am sorry.
I am sorry for anything I may have done,
For any hurt you may have.
And just as we did before,
Continuing with the next phrase,
Please forgive me.
Please forgive me for any hurt I may have caused or for not noticing you needed help.
Imagine speaking to this person or persons and saying thank you.
Thank you for your love,
For your forgiveness.
And finally,
What might it be like to say the words,
I love you.
I love you for being another divine being and I love you for who you are.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Taking a moment to notice how you feel now.
How does your body feel at this point?
And with what I'm sure is a sense of gratitude,
Of love,
Of fulfillment,
Of compassion,
I invite you to take the next few moments as the music fades.
To enjoy this space and this time,
Returning your attention to the room when you're ready and ending your meditation when it feels good to you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
