I will guide you through this sleep meditation.
Find a nice warm and cozy place.
Lay down and close your eyes.
Imagine you are lying on a beautiful beach in a warm Mediterranean climate,
In a sunny room as the only sound you hear is gentle lapping of the waves and a warm breeze blowing through the window.
Try to notice the light filtering through the window.
Notice that as it touches the objects of the room and becomes reflected,
It seems to change.
It becomes softer.
It seems to spread out over the objects.
It becomes more and more subtle.
You can't see it,
But you can sense it.
Next,
Notice the feel of your body.
Notice the sense of being grounded.
Now notice how you are breathing.
Feel the air flowing in and out of your nose and mouth.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.
Breathe as deeply as you can and feel that you are one with the rhythm of your breath.
Now notice any thoughts that occur to you.
Don't try to control them.
Let them come and go without trying to get rid of them.
Let them come and go without attempting to make them go.
Don't try to make them go,
Just be aware of them.
If you find your attention wandering or if the thoughts become bothersome,
Simply notice that they've occurred,
Then continue with the exercise.
When you get distracted,
Gently bring your attention back to the feel of your body.
Next,
Notice the feelings.
How does your body feel?
Do you feel tired?
How does your body feel?
Does it feel relaxed?
Now,
Notice any feelings that are related to the feelings you experienced when you were lying on the beach.
Feel the connection.
Notice how you're breathing.
Notice any other sensations.
As you continue to lie on the beach,
You notice that the waves move farther and farther out,
Beyond the farthest boundary of the beach.
The waves now seem to fill the entire universe.
You have a sense of time passing.
You feel as if you've been lying here for a long time.
As the wave movements become more and more powerful,
There is a sense of being lifted and tossed by the ocean.
The waves are becoming stronger,
Yet you feel that they are not going to move you,
But are moving you in a gentle and loving way.
You feel that you're being carried by the waves to the deepest part of the ocean.
You have a sense of being carried by love.
You feel that you are safe.
You feel no threats,
No struggle,
No need and no fear.
You feel that you are free.
You feel that the wave movements are moving you into the innermost place.
You are so happy to be carried by the waves and you feel no effort or struggle.
You feel that you are so loved and so wanted.
Just as you feel safe and accepted,
So does the wave movement carry you away from this outer universe and it carries you into the innermost place.
Your attention shifts from the outer world to the innermost place.
The sensations are more and more powerful.
Your awareness is moving more and more into the center.
You have an experience of the deepest reality.
You feel as if you are lying on the beach completely relaxed and you realize that you are completely loved and accepted.
You feel that the wave movement is moving you into the deepest level of love.
The whole universe is in you.
As you feel safe and accepted,
There is a greater and greater sense of peace.
You feel that there is no need for anything,
That there is no struggle and there is no resistance.
You feel completely supported and safe.
You begin to get more comfortable and to lie there more and more relaxed.
You notice that as your attention shifts,
Your body feels lighter.
You notice that you are more relaxed.
You sense that your mind is getting quieter and quieter.
It's quieter and quieter.
It's really quiet and you are sleeping well.
