Welcome to this guided meditation for focus.
Find a comfortable seated position either on the floor or in a chair.
Allow your spine to be straight and your shoulders relaxed.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice the sensation of the air as it enters your nostrils and the sensation of the breath as it leaves your body.
If your mind begins to wander,
Simply notice the thought and gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Now imagine a beautiful blue light filling your body with each inhale.
This light represents focus and clarity.
As you exhale,
Visualize any distractions or thoughts that are taking away from your focus,
Just leaving your body as a gray mist.
Breathe in the blue light and exhale any distractions.
Repeat this for a few breaths,
Allowing yourself to sink deeper into the state of relaxation and focus.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your attention to your body.
Scan your body from head to toe,
Noticing any areas of tension or discomfort and without judgment allow these areas to relax and release any tension with each breath.
Now bring to mind a task or project that requires your focus.
Visualize yourself completing this task with ease and clarity.
Imagine yourself feeling accomplished and proud of yourself for completing this task with focus and ease.
Now as you hold this visualization,
Allow the blue light to grow brighter and more intense with each inhale.
Let it fill your entire being,
Empowering you to complete your task with focus and clarity.
Take a moment to set an intention for your day.
Perhaps it is to complete this task with focus and clarity or to stay present and focused throughout your day.
When you are ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
