Give It To God
by Chara Hunter
The other morning I woke up angry. And with the anger came guilt and shame. I whispered an apology to God, then quickly listed my blessings, trying to cover it up. Gratitude is powerful, but that day I realized something deeper: before gratitude, we must give ourselves permission to be honest. To let the shadow speak. When I finally spoke my truth—raw and unfiltered—something shifted. My body released, my spirit softened, and I felt God hold it all. That’s when gratitude returned, not as a bandage, but as truth. This meditation, Give It to God, was born from that experience. It’s a space to lay down your burdens, speak what’s really inside, and let the Divine carry it for you—without guilt, without shame, only love.
