Transcript

Welcome to this five-minute relaxation meditation sequence.

Give yourself some time to get comfortable in your seat,

Making sure you feel supported with your back straight.

Going to allow the past to be the past and the future to be the future and to drop into this moment as a gift to yourself.

Closing the eyes,

Just straight away dropping the shoulders away from the ears,

Allowing the neck to soften and feeling gravity pulling the arms down towards the earth,

Relaxing the chest and abdomen,

Feeling it let go,

Relaxing the jaw,

Feeling it loosen,

Allowing the tongue to sit comfortably in the mouth,

Breathing comfortably in and out of the nose,

Allowing the cheeks to soften and the eyes to feel heavy,

Just allowing the arms to fall into the lap,

Feeling the opening of the hips heavy into the seat,

Allowing the legs to become heavy,

Opening at the knees and the ankles,

Feeling more space and feeling the feet grounded upon the earth,

Just spending a moment here with your entire body at rest,

Relaxed,

Breathing comfortably in and out of the nose,

Just turning your attention to the breath now,

Watching the rise and the fall of the chest with the inhale and exhale of the breath,

Just keeping your awareness here,

Knowing that your body is safe and relaxed,

Breathing in and out.

If you find that you're getting distracted by thoughts or any distractions,

Just taking a moment to acknowledge them without judgment and allowing them to leave like clouds in the sky and then just as easily as they came,

Returning back to the rise and the fall of the chest once again and keeping your attention there,

Feel the softening of the breath,

Feel the body relaxing,

Allowing yourself to let go in this moment and now starting to bring our awareness back out and opening the eyes,

Coming back to the present moment once again,

Feeling refreshed and relaxed and renewed.

That is the end of the five-minute meditation.
