On this dreamy journey,
The North Island of New Zealand will weave its spell around you.
Prepare to immerse yourself in its sweeping landscapes,
Bewitching forests,
Healing pristine air and the sound of its freshwater streams cascading calmly along.
As you close your eyes and get all cozy and comfortable,
You may imagine New Zealand,
Known as Eotearoa or land of the long white cloud to the local Maori people.
I'm flying over the Pacific Ocean now.
As you look out your aircraft window,
You admire the deep hues of blue.
And now you commence your descent into Eotearoa,
Shrouded in low-lying cloud cover.
Your plane descends through the mist and lands in New Plymouth.
You disembark and immediately see a huge,
Quintessential snow-capped mountain in the distance.
This is your destination.
And you take a hire car and journey towards it along the winding,
Relaxing country roads.
You are now at the base of Mount Taranaki,
A glorious natural wonder.
Taranaki in local Maori language means shining peak,
Referencing its upper slopes glistening with snow.
From where you stand in its foothills,
You see that Mount Taranaki is symmetrical and so satisfying to behold.
You easily understand why it is celebrated by tourists and locals alike,
Who never tire of its lofty majesty.
You can hear the sound of a fresh mountain stream nearby.
The sound is relaxing you,
Soothing your soul.
This is a rare day of crystal clear blue skies all the way to the summit.
Fresh snow has powdered its peak,
Turning on its snow-capped charm.
Drinking in the impressive mountainous sight,
You inhale fully and exhale easily.
It feels so good to breathe in this pure,
Healthy mountain air.
You take another deep breath in of this lovely light air,
And a long breath out,
As you feel completely at ease here in the Kiwi countryside.
You are on holiday.
You are now in vacation mode,
And have switched off and into the present moment,
Here and now.
As you indulge in the feelings of being away from it all,
Your soul starts to sing.
You are relishing the complete relaxation and freedom that travelling permits you here.
In the rolling green foothills of the mountain,
You check in to your eco lodge accommodation.
Your high-end,
Bohemian log cabin is surrounded by lush ferns and green hedges,
Keeping it a private enclave from the country road.
A furry billy goat with a mottled white and light brown coat welcomes you at the entrance.
You pat its soft fur and admire its widely set,
Long-lashed eyes.
The billy goat gives you a funny,
Docile smile with its bottom teeth.
It is such a crisp,
Clear day,
Not a cloud in the sky.
And this pristine energy is cleansing your spirit.
You explore the nearby Lake Mangamahoe,
A calm,
Beautiful blue lake.
This tranquil,
Sparkling lake provides a captivating vista of the mountain over the water.
Flowers abound on its banks.
Black swans glide by with their frilly,
French knicker-style bottoms.
Consouciant,
Elegant and peaceful.
You admire the swan's ability to glide with such ease.
You channel their effortless grace and confident posture as you meditate lakeside.
After some peaceful contemplation,
You decide to trek through the temperate forest.
Swinging your backpack on,
You take a relaxing hike now through the ancient native trees of the National Park.
Walking through this dense,
Mossy woodland known as the Goblin Forest,
You admire the fluffy green lichen covering the gnarled branches of trees.
This creates a sense of mysticism in this primordial place.
Sappled sunlight glints through the trees,
Adding to the fantasy feel of this mysterious,
Untouched forest.
And now you again hear the sound of fresh running water.
The flowing and trickling of a forest stream.
To peer through the trees,
To see cascades of crystal clear water,
Flowing downwards over mossy rocks.
So calming,
So serene.
As you walk on and follow this refreshing sound through the forest,
The water enlivens you with its pure vitality.
You feel so safe here,
As though the ancient trees have welcomed you into their sacred fold.
The earthy,
Humid air quenches your soul.
The green path of fluffy moss winds along,
Guiding you through this primeval,
Natural heartland.
You enjoy the enchantment of this fairy tale-like goblin forest.
You feel as though mythical beings could be darting unseen between the lichen-shrouded branches and tree roots.
There is such a vital energy here of calming ease.
The wisdom and purity of nature.
And now you emerge at an open grassland,
Leading up to the base of Mount Taranaki.
You see a wide wooden boardwalk here.
It gradually curves out,
Leading the way across quite a distance here,
Amongst low-lying shrubs and golden tussocks of grass.
You walk along the flat,
Wooden pathway,
Twisting through the expansive grassland.
And now an enchanting sight is before you.
A tarn,
Or shallow pond,
Reflecting the glorious mountain.
The symmetrical reflection in the natural pool appears to be a striking homage to its mountainous majesty.
You sit by the water and look up at the mountain.
You simply take in the breathtaking scene before your eyes.
You're pitching your little tent with ease.
You watch the landscape around you with contentment.
You are loving this spaciousness.
As you rest here,
You feel your mind,
Body and spirit healing in every way possible.
You breathe in the clean,
Pristine air as you absorb the divine natural energies of Eotearoa.
There's only your wonderful self here,
And the peaceful wilderness around you.
The sun starts to set now,
Dipping below the horizon.
The magic of twilight further transforms this spot into an otherworldly landscape.
Your vibration rises as you continue to meditate here at the base of the mountain.
You feel connected to source energy.
You feel a sense of oneness and freedom,
As though all elements have lined up perfectly just for you at this moment in time.
As nightfall gradually takes over,
The exquisite Milky Way galaxy is perfectly visible in the sky.
This galactic splendour is now in turn reflected in the water of the Tarn.
You feel sheer delight in your heart,
And the joyful clarity of universally aligned energies.
These energies are gifting you with the very best vision for yourself and for your life.
With wonderment,
You behold the galaxy,
Sparkling with possibilities,
And twinkling with potentiality.
The iconic Milky Way appears to be beaming down on you with pure love.
As you gaze up at the galaxy of light,
You feel and you know that the expansiveness of the whole open universe is available to you.
You can do anything.
You can be anything.
And you can have anything.
You possess infinitely valuable talents to share with the world.
You are one of a kind,
Divine and whole and perfect.
You are an immortal spark of stardust,
Stellar,
Spectacular and wholly lovable exactly as you are.
The energy of creation lives in you.
And the celestial light of the galaxy glows in your eyes.
Being completely at one with the universe,
You think your positive affirmations.
I am enough now and always.
I am wonderfully worthy now and always.
I deserve all delights now and always.
I am abundant now and always.
I am perfectly healthy now and always.
I am deeply grateful now and always.
I am love now and always.

Its snowy peak is glowing in the moonlight.
