It's time for our daily affirmation,
Inspiration,
And mindful prompt.
We are on inspiration 345.
Rest is productive.
Taking time to rest and recharge is essential for your well-being and productivity.
When you give yourself permission to rest,
You are able to replenish your energy and focus and able to approach tasks with renewed vigor and creativity.
You know that rest is not a sign of weakness,
But a necessary part of a healthy and balanced life.
You prioritize self-care and make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
You know that they are just as important as your work and responsibilities.
You approach rest with intention and mindfulness and savor every moment of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Not gonna lie,
This is something that I struggle with.
It's been like that my whole life.
Anybody else with me on that?
I find that my brain is constantly working to come up with new ideas.
I have to be very intentional about resting,
And relaxing.
Take time every single day to read.
I read murder mysteries.
That's my jam.
That is a way that I relax.
That is one thing that I do.
It's not like I don't ever relax,
Because I do.
I'm constantly thinking,
As we all are.
Over the holidays,
I spent time watching Christmas movies and knitting Christmas presents and things like that.
And that was a form of resting and relaxing.
I found that I was inspired with new ideas for meditations.
I actually outlined an idea for another book,
Which I was very excited about.
The point is,
Is that taking those moments,
And even if they're limited,
If you feel like you can't take a lot of time to do that,
Take some time to do that.
Find some kind of outlet that allows your brain to not be constantly working on a problem,
But just chilling out.
That doesn't mean that I'm inviting you to go sit on the couch and watch the TV all the time.
Go for a walk.
Just walk outside.
Don't listen to music or listen to a walking meditation,
And just appreciate being outside.
There are lots of other reasons why you wanna do that,
But this is a big one right here,
Is resting your brain from a problem.
I don't know about you,
But there've been plenty of times where I'll be working on something and I can't figure out how to make it work,
Because I like to do things.
I like to solve problems myself,
If I can.
Sometimes I can't figure it out right in that moment.
But I'll just stop,
And I'll decide that I'll come back to that tomorrow.
Sometimes the solution comes to me in the middle of the night.
Last night,
I woke up at 3.
30 and my eyes flew open and I had a solution to a problem that had been bothering me yesterday.
That's the way to do it.
You just never know when that spark of creativity is gonna pop up for you.
