Hello everyone and welcome to the meditation channel.

Let's begin.

Close your eyes,

Get yourself in a comfortable position and listen to my voice.

Today's meditation is designed to help you release resentment,

Anger towards a particular event or person that has happened to you in the past.

We do not feel these emotions just because we feel them because something happened to us and for whatever reason we were not able to process those emotions,

To let them go and so they are stored within us,

Deep in our psyche.

And that pain,

That suffering,

That event has now caused us to suffer.

And that suffering creates resentment and anger because we feel as though we cannot change the past because we feel that whoever that was still holds power over us.

And our mind recreates the same story over and over,

As if we are stuck in a nightmare on replay.

Each time you replay that story,

You relive those emotions and it reaffirms the frustration and the anger.

It reaffirms that you were hurt and that you cannot go back and change it.

Anger is not a bad thing,

It is how we use anger that makes it good or bad.

So let's begin here.

Anger is a tool,

A tool to help you bring about change.

It is a motivator.

It helps you,

To give you energy to make the changes that you require.

However,

Anger can also be very destructive if not used the right way.

It's just like fire.

It can keep you warm,

It can cook your food or it can burn everything.

And so let's begin by becoming aware of the fact that anger is not bad,

It is here to help you.

And so ask yourself,

Can you accept this about it?

Or have you been told that anger is a bad thing,

It's an evil thing and you should not feel this way.

When you are suffering,

It's important to understand that you must bring about all of the aspects of you in alignment with your goal.

And so if you reject,

Disown and deny your anger,

Then you are going against a part of you.

And so it's important that you understand this to resolve this issue.

And so just take a moment right now and feel that anger,

That energy that lives within you.

And instead of rejecting it,

Disowning it and denying it,

Can you thank it,

Love it and appreciate it.

This is the energy that will help you heal,

That will help you overcome this mountain,

This challenge.

This is the energy that you need to transform.

Tell yourself that you will work with this energy and not against it.

And as you work with it,

You will find a resolution.

You will find peace.

You will find the healing that you are looking for.

And so when you think about this event or this person,

Where do you hold this energy of anger?

You will feel it just like a fire burning.

And so think about it,

Allow it to activate and ignite.

And just pay attention as to where in your body you feel this fire.

Feel it,

Embrace it,

Allow it to be there.

And I want you to take some deep breaths as you begin to process this emotion,

To sit with it in stillness.

Slow down your breath,

Slow down your mind.

Tell that part of you,

I hear you,

I'm with you and I am grateful for you.

Give yourself permission to merge with this energy,

To understand it,

To embrace it,

To see it as your friend,

Not your enemy.

And can you melt into it as opposed to pushing it away?

Can you surrender to the truth of what you feel,

Of what you need?

Good.

Now,

Anger is good,

However,

Resentment is a little bit different.

Holding on to resentment,

It's like drinking poison and hoping to harm the other person.

Unfortunately,

Resentment only really harms us.

Essentially,

Resentment is an attachment of the ego,

An attachment to an outcome that never happened.

To release resentment,

It's a process,

It's not something that will happen overnight.

So accept this about it.

Now,

Essentially the resentment that you have,

It's an attachment to a story that you have told yourself over and over again.

And so take a moment right now to think about what that story is.

They did me wrong.

They hurt me.

They didn't care.

They didn't respect me.

They were evil,

Whatever it may be.

Just allow that story to come up.

I want you to understand something about life.

Your story is valid.

Your story is true.

But there are also other perspectives to this story.

And so,

In order to change the frequency of the resentment,

You must change your story.

Right now,

Your story is going against you.

Right now,

Your story is hurting you.

You must find a way to empower yourself through your story.

You must find a way to see another truth,

Another way that will serve you,

Empower you and heal you.

And so now,

Think about another way that you could be telling this story to yourself.

Another way to see it.

Another way to discover something about yourself that you did not know before.

It could be something as simple as now I know better.

You have realized that in the end,

If you didn't go through what you went through,

You wouldn't be free from that person or that situation.

Sometimes bad things can turn out to be your greatest blessing.

So I want you now to take a moment to really practice and do your utmost to see the positive.

To see the benefit in what happened.

I know it's challenging,

But I promise you this is the key to letting go.

The only way for you to win is for you to let it go,

To claim your power back and not allow that person to hold any power over you ever again.

When you can look back and think highly of yourself and not think anything at all of them,

That is true power.

So just take a moment right now to give yourself some support and some love.

To understand that this is an ongoing process,

That you must retrain your brain,

Retrain and change your story.

The same way you tell the story over and over again,

You must retell it over and over again.

So one day you will tell this story with a smile,

Knowing that you won.

I do encourage you to do this meditation every single day.

Every single day,

Take the time to be with yourself.

To bring those aspects of you on your side.

And to set yourself free.

Alright,

It's time to come back now,

So slowly,

Slowly letting go and bringing your awareness back to your body,

Back into the space,

Gently and slowly returning.

There is no rush,

Take your time,

But when it feels right,

Come back and open your eyes.
