Melody Litton - Jyoti Ma is a spiritual teacher, devotional singer, and bhakta devoted to the path of Love. It's her greatest joy to share the practices and teachings that have enlightened her mind, heart, body and soul. Developing a heart of devotion changes every aspect of our self and our life. We’ll discuss the various ways to be in devotion, its power, and the blessings that will come through cultivating a heart of devotion.

The Gift of Surrender

Surrender is a key aspect of Bhakti Yoga. We will discuss what surrender is and what it isn’t, and how a true surrendering to the Divine will bless, inspire, and elevate us and bring greater peace and joy to our lives.

The Power of Daily Sadhana

Bhakti Yoga is a path of deep devotion and personal relationship with the Divine. In lesson four we will come to better understand the importance of a daily spiritual practice and how to develop one that works for us.

The Yumminess of a Fruit Salad

With a variety of spiritual paths, religions, beliefs, and ideas how is one to determine what is best for them and what is true? In lesson five we’ll introduce the Daily Dose of Peace and how it compares to the sweetness of a fruit salad.

I enjoyed this course, her gentle voice is soulful and the music made each lesson a relaxing and thought provoking experience. I wish she had led a practice at the end of each day. If each day we could practice a form of Bakhti then she would also be supporting us in our daily practice as we invest our time in this course.

I’m glad to have found this high level view of a branch of yoga I’d known little about. I’m interested to learn more! Bhakti seems to have a lot in common with the orientation of heart, surrender and devotion of my community of origin, and I wonder if the approach might be useful for integrating our earliest impressions in a way that redeems their deep value to us.
