Welcome and I hope that each one of you will come to find peace within yourself.
Today we're going to do a little relaxing morning meditation.
Like I always say,
It doesn't matter if you're sitting,
Lying down or standing.
Since it's a morning meditation though,
It probably should center around your bed.
So you can remain laying down if you're just waking up or you can sit on the edge of your bed if that suits you.
Or you can sit at your breakfast table if you've already gotten up.
The most important thing is that you are comfortable when you meditate.
And also be sure to silence all of your other devices except the one that you're listening on.
This is your time.
Set yourself up for success.
Claim your time.
And if you want,
You can close your eyes now.
Let's begin our day with a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh morning air.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension from your body.
Do it again.
Breathe deep and exhale fully.
And now just breathe in your usual way and don't force anything.
Let's scan our body and look for any areas of tension.
Just relax.
Relax your brow.
Unfurrow your brow and unclench your jaw.
Just relax your face.
Now relax your neck.
Maybe roll your head around just to loosen it up a little.
Relax any tension in your shoulders.
Relax your chest and your belly.
Let's relax our arms and our hands and our fingers.
Maybe wiggle them a little bit and then let them just rest.
Look for any tension in your body.
You know best where it is.
And just try to settle in.
I've said before that I think that doing meditation first thing in the morning is perfect.
And when you first wake up in the morning,
It's a wonderful time to meditate because it sets your intention for the day.
It sets the mood.
It gets you off thinking in a calm and relaxed manner.
I've said before that I've meditated every morning for probably the last 40 years and I can't imagine my morning without it.
And maybe you can get in that kind of habit too.
Just follow your breath and let your body relax.
Now maybe we can visualize the sunrise.
Envision the sky with hues of orange and gray and pink and white all intermingled with the Sun.
And the Sun's coming up over the horizon.
Maybe you can envision the warmth that its light brings.
And in doing that,
You're inviting the possibility of new things,
Of new opportunities coming into your day just like the sunrise.
New things coming into your life.
And morning is a perfect time to set that intention.
Breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.
Try to have intentions of gratitude,
An intention of kindness,
And an intention of productivity.
And in this moment,
Let's try to imagine that we accomplish all of our goals today.
Whatever the day holds for us,
We're going to approach it with positivity,
Approach it with energy,
And approach it with kindness.
Of the goals and tasks we have set for today,
Let's imagine that we can complete all of them.
Just breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.
And while we're in this moment,
Let's take time to appreciate,
Appreciate your body.
It's always there for you.
We need to be kind to it.
We need to take these moments from our day and just relax and breathe.
Just breathe.
The breath is everything.
I learned that a while ago,
And we need to offer ourselves kindness and love.
Too many of us are kind to everyone else,
But aren't kind to ourselves.
And in order to love someone else truly,
You need to be able to love yourself.
Just breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.
Feel the energy that flows into you with each and every breath.
Breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.
Feel the energy that flows into you.
You're breathing in fresh morning air.
And as you breathe out,
You're breathing out any tension.
You're breathing out any bad ideas or thoughts,
Breathing out negativity that you might hold over from yesterday.
It's a new day,
A new day to begin with positivity,
With kindness,
And with love for yourself and others.
We all need to learn to embrace all of the beauty around us,
All of the wonder.
The world is really such a beautiful place.
And I know that we all get bogged down in the headlines of what's going on around the world,
Conflicts and wars and politics.
But when we meditate,
It's our time to get away from those things and to relax.
To touch the power that lies inside each and every one of us.
To feel the power that we hold within.
And we all have that power inside of ourselves.
You just have to reach it.
And you can do that by getting in touch with your breath.
And I hope that when we end this morning meditation,
That you can carry this sense of peace and positivity with you in your day,
With you throughout your morning.
And you can move into your day,
Feel empowered and feel relaxed and ready to start your day.
Now,
As we come to a close,
Open your eyes and come back into the room.
Stretch and feel how good it is to be alive.
Just how good it is.
And I hope this has been a beneficial and calming session.
And I hope that you start your day on the right foot and have a picture-perfect day.
