Begin by getting comfortable,

Lying down,

Supported,

Warm.

Let your whole body settle into stillness.

Take a slow inhale and a long,

Complete exhale.

Let the breath fall into any easy rhythm.

Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

Imagine a soft glow,

Pale,

Gold,

Warm,

Steady,

Resting there.

With each inhale,

This light grows slightly brighter.

With each exhale,

It settles deeper into your body.

Let the light move to your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Soften.

The warm light moves down to your throat,

Your collarbones,

Your heart,

As the light fills your chest.

Imagine warmth spreading through your ribs,

Your back,

Your lungs.

Let the warmth flow into your arms,

Shoulders,

Upper arms,

Elbows,

Forearms,

Wrists,

Hands,

Fingertips.

Both arms glowing from within.

Now,

Invite the light to your belly.

Softening,

Warming,

Releasing.

Let it move into the pelvis,

Hips,

Knees,

Shins,

Ankles.

Your entire body bathes in the light.

In gentle golden light.

Imagine this warmth expanding just beyond your skin,

Like a small aura of soft heat surrounding you.

Rest in this radiance.

Let it hold you.

Stay here for several breaths.

When thoughts arise,

Allow them to drift through the light and dissolve.

When you're ready to return,

Deepen the breath.

Feel your body supported beneath you.

Gently move your fingers and toes.

Roll to one side before rising.

Carry this warmth into the rest of your day.
