This meditation is to help set better boundaries for yourself.
Take a deep inhale,
Slowly exhale,
Or roll your shoulders a few times,
And close your eyes.
Take a moment to scan your body.
Start with your feet.
Stretch and fan your toes out.
Relax your calves and thighs,
And slowly work your way up.
Release any area that feels tense,
And decide to relax those muscles,
At least just during this meditation.
Let go of any tension in your hips,
Chest,
Shoulders.
Relax your arms and wrists.
Imagine melting away the tension in your neck,
Your jaw,
Your forehead.
Enjoy melting away the tension,
And welcome the calmness and the relaxed stillness.
See how slightly heavier your body feels now,
And enjoy your feet being more firmly planted into the ground.
Bring your attention to the center of your head,
Behind your eyes,
And between your ears.
Gently settle in this spot for the rest of the meditation.
Visualize yourself right now.
The clothes you are wearing,
The posture you are holding,
The chair you might be sitting on.
And,
Looking at this image,
Create a bubble around your body.
Without any intellectual effort,
Imagine a bubble appearing around you.
Make it about an arm's length distance all around you.
And now,
Take a moment to look at it.
What color is your bubble?
What is the texture like?
Is it in good shape,
Or do you see some tears?
Look at it from different angles too.
Check above your head,
Behind your back,
And under your feet.
Does it evenly wrap around your entire body,
Or is it squished to one side?
Just take note.
This bubble is your space.
And often,
People's feelings and energies end up in your space.
And,
Accidentally,
They then become your problem.
These problems crowd your space,
Even though they are not for you to fix.
Have you ever been stressed out just because someone else next to you,
Waiting in line,
Is stressed out?
Or,
Have you ever taken out your work-related stress out on your family for something totally unrelated?
Who hasn't,
Really?
And sometimes,
Even if these problems don't end up in your space,
They pressure your space,
Making you feel out of balance.
Uncertain.
So,
Let's declutter our mind,
Body,
And space.
Imagine a big golden sun shining right above your head.
Feel the warmth,
And visualize this powerful sun shining strongly.
Imagine its light,
Imagine its light filling your body,
Starting from the top of your head and traveling down through your body.
See it fill your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your legs,
All the way to your toes.
As the light travels through you,
It melts away any old tensions.
Visualize the tension melting instantly,
With no effort,
As soon as the light arrives.
And as the tension releases,
It transforms into gold,
Glittery powder.
Poof!
Take in those sensations of the tension melting and transforming.
This light feels good,
And it fills your body with new,
Clean energy.
See this light going to all the places in your body,
Melting away the tension,
Transforming it into gold glitter.
Check your back,
Your calves,
Your jaw,
And anywhere else you need.
How does your body feel now?
Maybe you feel more relaxed,
Or maybe replenished.
Continue to fill your body with light from this big gold sun above you.
See its light,
Its warmth,
And its energy pouring into your body.
Visualize your body absorbing this gold light,
This happy energy.
Imagine each cell in your body absorbing the gold light,
Each one of them turning into gold.
See yourself becoming gold.
See parts of your body starting to glow from the inside out,
Lighting up all your organs.
See your heart light up,
And see the glow expanding through your entire body,
All the way to the end of your toes and fingers.
See your skin glowing too.
Feel this warm glow inside of you and around you.
Realize how this glow makes you feel both soft and strong.
Visualize light still pouring out of the sun into the top of your head,
And see your skin glowing more intensely,
And the glow now expanding all around you into your bubble.
Keep filling up with the light,
And see your bubble being cleansed by this light,
This energy.
Now,
The light is directly filling up your bubble,
Making it shine more brightly,
Making the glow more dense.
The light is both cleaning your bubble from old energies and old stuff,
And transforming them into new,
Clean energy.
Now,
Visualize the sun coming down into your bubble,
And all its light,
Glow,
And energy being completely absorbed by your body and your bubble.
See how strong and clean your bubble is,
And how its edges become more clear all around.
Check it out from different angle.
Decide that this is your space,
Your bubble,
And this is how it feels to completely own your space.
Decide that decisions you make for yourself are best made from this space.
Really feel this cold bubble you created,
This new space around you.
What feelings come up?
Maybe you feel more relaxed,
More free?
Really map these sensations around you and in your body.
Put words to the feelings and sensations,
So you can remind yourself what it feels like to truly own your space.
A space free anyone else's feelings or thoughts in it.
A space that really feels like you,
You in a relaxed,
Clear state.
Decide that you will consider other people's needs from this space by visualizing your clean,
Glowing bubble,
And that other people's stress or pressure will either bounce off your bubble,
Or will immediately transform into gold light as it touches your bubble.
Visualize right now any future pressures bouncing off gently,
And others melting into gold as it touches your bubble.
And encapsulate that feeling of still owning your bubble,
Despite what's going on around you.
Remember,
Your bubble will keep you safe and relaxed.
And remember that you do not need to take on other people's stresses or pressures to do what you need to do.
In fact,
Realize you can do more,
And be more,
And help others better by owning your space.
And maybe even inspiring others to own their beautiful,
Clean space too.
