Welcome to your daily Egyptian Goddess Invocation.

Are you ready to hear the language of your soul?

To turn up the volume on your inner wisdom and create more empowered everyday living with the help of ancient Egyptian Goddess energy?

You have made a great choice in calling in Tefnut in her form of Vulture.

Have you been allowing others to direct you?

Are you experiencing being blown off centre?

Do you feel as if your voice isn't being heard?

Have you been supporting,

Resourcing,

Inspiring others and neglecting yourself a little bit or a lot?

This practice will put you in touch with the qualities of equanimity,

Balance and self-sufficiency,

Allowing you to soar to new heights and find the freedom you seek.

Get ready to permit your highest self and see the way forward rise high.

It's time to find the perspective of Tefnut in her aspect of Vulture.

This Goddess Invocation offers a seat beside Tefnut,

The ancient Egyptian Goddess who travelled home from a far away land,

Moving through several animal and bird forms before realising full sovereignty.

She invites you now to tap into the potential you hold to transform your life,

To travel well and to utilise the Goddess powers latent within you.

Remember by calling in ancient Egyptian Goddess energy,

You are allowing yourself to turn up the volume on the empowered layers of your being,

For deepening a relationship with symbolic language,

The language of the soul.

Find a comfortable seat or lie down somewhere where you feel safe.

Make any final adjustments and allow the spine to lengthen.

If you're lying down you might like to bend your knees and bring your feet wide,

Knees together.

You might prefer to have a cushion or two under the knees.

Snuggle in,

Let the body be soft,

Heavy.

Notice the imprint of the body and the surface you're lying on.

If you're seated allow the pelvis to tilt forward a little and root down through the sit bones,

Perhaps sitting on a cushion.

You may prefer to sit on a chair,

Feet planted on the ground.

Wherever you choose to be for this meditation,

Begin to cultivate an inner gaze,

A view from the inside out.

Scan the body for any tension,

From the head to the shoulders and arms,

Torso,

Hips,

Legs,

Feet.

And allow yourself to include any and all sensations,

Emotions,

Any sense of holding which show up in the body or in the mind.

Let go of any temptation to fix how you are.

Bring a compassionate view to what your body holds for you right now,

In this moment.

You will learn yourself more deeply from this spacious viewpoint.

Empty the lungs completely,

Take time to fully exhale.

You might even squeeze the navel towards the spine.

And when the next inhale bubbles up,

Take a full,

Deep,

Smooth,

Slow inhalation through the nose.

Hold,

Hold,

Sip in a little more air.

Open the mouth and sigh away the breath,

Empty completely.

Allow the next inhale to bubble up,

This time hold and exhale through the nose slowly,

Lengthening the exhalation.

Take time to empty completely,

Letting go of any stagnation held in the body.

And come back to a natural breath.

Witness the breath as it enters and leaves the nose in its own time.

What does your breath tell you about what you've been dealing with of late,

How you are today?

Stay curious and allow the breath to come and go as it needs to.

And when the mind wanders,

Which it will,

Simply bring it back,

Just this inhale,

Just this exhale.

As a spirit animal,

The vulture reminds us that our evolution towards our highest self sometimes begins with painful experiences,

Sometimes through feeling hurt.

I invite you to say inwardly,

I hear and respond to the messages which Tefnut holds for me.

I hear and respond to the messages which Tefnut holds for me.

In the myth,

Tefnut transforms herself into a vulture and flies alongside the moon god Thoth as they journey on home to Egypt.

In Egyptian thought,

The vulture was often characterised as feminine yet spontaneously born,

From eggs and without the intervention of a male.

Egyptians believed there are no male vultures,

Only female,

And that their eggs are fertilised by the wind.

The vulture is associated with nurturing and other maternal qualities as well as with royalty.

Take your imagination to a place where you find a wide perspective.

This might be a representation of a place or a place you already know that speaks to you,

A wide view of freedom,

A mountain top,

Moorland,

A seascape.

Is this place warm,

Full of vegetation?

Is it capped by snow?

From where you stand or sit,

Can you see all around you?

Is there a horizon,

Maybe beyond vegetation or across the sea?

Take some time to fill in the details.

Now look towards your own being and notice that you've grown beautiful wings,

Wider than you thought possible,

Generous wings that offer stability in flight.

You find,

Much to your delight,

That your wings respond directly to your thoughts.

Soon you lift yourself higher and higher,

Rising and riding on the soft wind.

What do you see below?

As you soar ever higher,

How far can you see with your amazing,

Powerful eyes?

Are your senses awake?

To where do you travel?

What can you see?

Is there a situation that close up may not hopefully make sense?

Can you witness this situation with a soft,

Wide open gaze?

How else could you see this situation?

Who benefits from this wider view?

Here you remember Tefnut as Vulture.

She asks you now to map your own way home.

And with your newfound freedom and wider perspective,

You ride the currents gracefully and with a sense of joy.

Gradually you return to land from where you set off.

Witness yourself standing with your shoulders squared to the winds,

Invincible.

From here you affirm I am strong,

Capable and ready to see a wider view.

I remain rooted in my purpose.

I stay fluid and open to new possibilities.

Stay and breathe a while,

Breathing in the feeling of these affirmations.

Enjoy this newfound change in perspective.

This is freedom,

This is agency.

This is reclaiming your own intelligence.

Trust that Tefnut is available to you in her form of Vulture whenever you need her.

Practice this meditation for the next 21 days and see your Vulture vision grow.

You might at the end of this period have formulated a question for Tefnut.

She might even have a question for you.

Stay open,

Keep listening,

Keep watching.

You can journal about your time in this manifestation as Tefnut as Vulture and see what new insights this reveals to you.

Come back to noticing the breath arriving and leaving through the nose.

When you're ready begin to sense the surface beneath you whether you're lying down or seated.

Make all the fingers and toes gradually open the eyes and assess your surroundings with a fresh perspective.

Take a deep inhalation through the nose and exhale slowly.

Release the past.

And now inhale your new now.

I'll see you next time.

Travel well.
