In just two minutes, we can remember how to present and fully alive in this moment. This mini-mindfulness break introduces the simple practice of feeling the sensations of each of your feet and then taking one mindful breath. Practiced regularly, this can become a cue to your mind and body to return to the ease available in the present moment.

Hello,

In this mini mindfulness break we'll be doing an activity called two feet one breath.

You can do this anywhere you are.

You can do it with your eyes open or eyes closed.

And the practice is really simple.

Let's begin.

Just sense into your right foot.

See if you have any physical sensation there.

Do you notice temperature?

Maybe the feel of fabric or shoe or floor on your foot.

Just noticing whatever is there.

Now switching to the left foot.

Seeing if you have any sensation in the left foot.

Kind and curious as best as you are able.

Notice what the left foot feels like.

And finally take one breath.

Noticing the sensations of breathing.

Perhaps feeling the air move through the nostrils or the back of the throat.

Maybe noticing the rise and fall of the belly.

And then continue with your day.

Be mindful this break.
