This practice is a short 10-minute practice to lift your energy and also lift your mood.
So come into an easy hero's pose,
Sitting on your heels.
Close your eyes.
Palms facing up.
Start to tap into your breathing.
Naturally feeling the flow,
The in and the out of the breath.
Just to ground yourself before we begin.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Do this two more times at your own pace.
Now bring the hands together in prayer pose in front of the heart.
Take an inhale and bring the hands down,
Around,
And up.
Bringing the gaze high up to the heavens.
And then exhale,
Sweep the arms down and see if you can close your eyes and move with your breath by bringing the hands in prayer pose.
And then exhale,
Extending the arms down at your sides,
Lifting them high up to the heavens.
And when the palms reach,
Then exhale,
Sweeping the aura around you.
Move mindfully.
Moving with your breath.
And moving with the intention of lifting your energy up.
At the same time lifting your mood up.
So taking a few moments now to go deep within.
Closing your eyes if that's comfortable for you.
And make this movement.
Mindful moving meditation to lift your energy and your mood.
The next time your hands come into prayer pose,
Pause there a moment.
And with a smile on your face,
Take your right hand to your heart and your left hand to your belly.
We're going to do breath of fire.
So take a deep inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
And then inhale.
And begin.
Take a deep inhale.
Hold the breath.
And feel the energy lifting.
From the root of your spine,
The root chakra.
Through all the chakras of the spine at the crown of the head,
Holding the breath.
And then when you're ready,
Exhale,
Release,
Palms facing up on top of your thighs.
Feeling this energy circulating in you and through you.
And becoming aware of how your mood changes.
Is becoming uplifted.
Turning the palms down on top of your knees and thighs.
Spinal flexes,
Inhale forward,
Exhale back,
Tuck the chin to the chest.
A movement that matches your breath.
So you can go quickly or slowly.
And close your eyes.
And if you wish,
Roll your eyes up and in to the third eye,
The seat of intuition,
Focusing on what it is that you want to create after your practice today.
What is it that you want to draw into your life?
And go deep within.
And make this a moving meditative.
Uplifting movement.
Start to slow it down.
Bringing the body to center.
Pausing there a moment so you can feel the energy in you,
Through you.
And tapping into that uplifted spirit.
The mood is becoming light and loving.
Now bringing the hands on the shoulders,
Fingers are pointed forward and thumbs are back.
Inhale to your left.
Exhale to your right.
I am not mirroring you.
So inhale to your left.
Exhale to your right,
Twist it out.
And feel the release of any tension in the back.
Letting go.
Of anything that is a weight on your heart.
Put a smile on your face.
As you open your heart.
So you feel more comfortable and safe.
To give and receive.
Go deep within and twist out any energy that's stagnant.
So that you can create that opening.
Of an energetic,
Healthy flow.
To energize you.
And lift your mood.
Start to slow it down.
Bringing the body to center.
And once your body is still,
Take a deep inhale.
Fill your body with this prana,
This life force,
This healing energy,
And then hold the breath.
And if it's comfortable for you,
Roll the eyes up and into the third eye,
The seat of intuition.
Just have the experience as you're holding this.
Precious prana within you to energize you.
And then when you're ready,
Exhale and release,
Palms facing up on top of your thighs to feel the energy circulating in you,
Around you,
And through you.
Coming off the heels onto your sit bones,
Extend your legs out.
To a comfortable V,
Not a full extension,
Just a comfortable V.
Take a deep inhale with a straight spine.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Inhale your arms high up to the heavens.
Exhale over to the left.
Inhale high up to the heaven center,
Exhale over to the right.
Make this a moving meditation,
Moving with your breath,
Moving with your prana,
Moving with your intention.
Allowing the body and your breath.
To make this a mindful movement.
You're stretching the hamstrings.
At the same time creating this energetic flow.
Through the spine.
And up through the shoulders.
Out there.
Hands at fingertips.
And put a smile on your face.
You can move quickly or you can move slowly,
Honoring your body,
Whatever feels comfortable.
And natural for you.
The next time you come to the right,
Inhale to the center.
Extend your fingers and your hands and your arms.
Tight and high up to the heavens.
Hold the breath.
Filling yourself with this life force.
This loving energy.
To lift your mood.
And then exhaling.
When you exhale,
Allow your hands to come down,
Dropping them on your legs.
And coming forward from the hips.
Where do your hands rest if you can grab your big toes?
Wrap your pointer and middle fingers around your big toes and press your thumbs into the toenail.
And if not,
Just rest your hands wherever they may be.
And we're going to make this a moving breath.
Meditation.
So inhale and then exhale come forward.
Inhale up,
Exhale forward.
And this mindfulness as we move with the breath.
Making it a form of a meditation.
So that we are connecting.
Our body.
To our mind.
To our breath.
Into our spirit.
Now go deep within,
Move quickly or slowly,
Whatever your body intuition is calling for.
Now,
Inhale with a straight back.
Take a deep,
Deep inhale.
Fill your body with this life force.
Put a smile on your face.
Hold the brat.
Squeeze every fiber of your being if that is comfortable for you.
And then exhale,
Release.
One more movement and you'll be on your way to new energy with an uplifted mood.
Come into tabletop.
Let's do Cat-Cow and make this a movement that your body intuition wants.
Do you want to go quickly?
Do you want to go slowly?
Close your eyes.
And move with your breath.
And move with mindfulness.
I'm going to leave you in a couple moments.
So that you can drop into the connection between your breath.
Your body and the movement.
Bring the spine to neutral.
Bring the toes together and press back into child's pose.
And as you press your forehead down into the ground,
And you open your heart.
And you feel this new energy that's vibrating in you and through you,
Your spirit is uplifted,
Your mood is uplifted.
Focus on something that you can be grateful for right here,
Right now.
Take a deep inhale,
Walk the hands back.
