I will be guiding you through a meditation using the power of the mind.
Our mind is a powerful tool.
We can train our mind to focus on words,
Places,
And thoughts.
Start with your eyes closed.
Taking a moment to notice how your body is resting.
Keeping the spine straight and allow your muscles to relax.
Listen to mind the room or the space in which you're sitting.
Can you picture where you are in the room,
Where your body is resting?
Picture the floor,
The walls,
And the doors.
What else can you bring your mind's attention to in this space?
Letting go of the room,
Letting go of the picture in your mind of the space that you're in.
Now go somewhere peaceful,
Whether that be the beach or the mountains.
Wherever your happy place is,
Go to that place in your mind.
Try to bring up as many details in your mind that you can in your happy place.
Letting go of the room,
Letting go of the space in your mind that you're in.
Now bring your mind to your thoughts,
Picking some loving,
Gentle words that will float across your mind's eye and become your thoughts.
Maybe those words are happy,
Joyous,
And free.
Maybe those words are bountiful,
Beautiful,
And blissful.
Or maybe those words are happy,
Healthy,
And holy.
Take one,
Two,
Or three loving words and focus on them with your mind.
One,
Two,
Three loving words and focus on them with your mind.
Now bring the awareness of your mind to your breath,
Focusing for the next moments on your breath.
And I'm going to leave you in stillness.
If the mind wanders,
Bring it back to the breath.
After a period of silence,
I will bring you back with my words.
Relax into the stillness,
Focusing on your breath.
