Begin to relax into stillness.

Allow your hands to rest softly.

And as you exhale out of the mouth,
Begin to relax and soften your shoulders.

Begin to notice the places in your body where you hold stress and anxiety.
It might be the jaw,
The shoulders,
The chest,

With your next inhale,
Gently bring the breath into that area.
And as you exhale,
Imagine all the tension melting away.

Creating space in the body.
Exhale,
Release what no longer serves you.

Continue breathing slowly and naturally.
Now imagine a soft wave of calming energy beginning at the top of your head.
Allow this wave to bring this relaxation down,
Moving across your forehead.
Softening the muscles around the eyes.
The jaw relaxes.
Your neck releases any tension.
Allow your shoulders to drop away from the ears.
Feel this calming,
Relaxing energy moving down through your arms.
Into your hands.
Your fingertips.
Allow your chest to soften.
Your breath becomes smooth and steady.
Let this wave of calm move through your belly,
Releasing any tightness or holding.
This energy is moving down through your hips.
Your thighs relax.
Your calves release.
And finally,
Your feet relax.
Your entire body is resting,
Is releasing,
And is relaxing.
If any anxious thoughts appear,
Just simply notice them.
There's no need to push them away.
But imagine them floating by like a cloud,
Just watching them drift away.
And then returning back to your breath.
Exhale anxiety.

Your body remembers how to relax.
You are safe in this moment.
