And I'm honored to share this meditation of finding serenity in the midst of chaos,
Fulfilling your desire for inner peace,
Regardless of the circumstances.
So let us come with hearts open in gratitude to the source of life,
The source of love and peace that dwells within.
Let us begin.
Sitting comfortably,
Yet attentively,
With your eyes closed,
Gently notice your breath.
Feel your body breathing naturally as you inhale and exhale.
Feel your feet resting on the floor and your body being supported by the chair.
Allow my words to wash over you like fresh water on dry ground.
May you receive and believe that it is possible to find peace in the midst of the challenges.
It is possible to experience serenity in the midst of conflict.
Feel your body settling deeper into this moment.
Sense the stillness within.
Continue to notice your breathing.
Rest your mind and your body.
Allow your thoughts to recall an emotional challenge that you're facing,
Something that's creating inner conflict.
What situation or relationship might be provoking this unrest?
Simply notice it,
And as you do,
Let the feelings rise.
No need to hide from this or suppress it.
Let the feelings be as you continue to notice your breathing.
Allow yourself to feel and name the emotional response to this challenge when you can picture the person or situation in your mind.
What are you feeling?
Is it anxiety?
Frustration?
Resentment?
Fear?
Doubt?
Anger?
Pain?
You can enter this space knowing that the source of your life,
Which is love,
Is supporting you.
Notice where in your body you're feeling this emotion.
Your head,
Your neck,
Shoulders,
Your chest,
Your legs,
Your feet,
Your arms and your hands.
Scan through your body.
Where are you holding on?
Where are you tightening up?
Breathe deeply into that place.
Breathe deeply into that physical sensation.
With each breath,
Let your muscles relax.
From the top of your head down through your body,
To your feet,
And your hands.
As you feel the emotion and the physical sensation,
Begin to release your body.
Gently envision yourself diving beneath the wave of emotion.
Dropping deeper into the still waters,
Which is the love that sustains you in the very depth of your being.
With each breath,
Turn from the sensation and sink into the sacred stillness within you.
You're not trying to escape the discomfort.
Instead,
You're letting it be whatever it is.
While at the same time,
Letting your attention be like a pebble dropping through the turbulence of the surface waters.
It sinks slowly into the deep waters and settles.
Rather than suppress or deny the feeling or conflict,
It's about turning from it,
Moving through it,
And settling into the stillness in the core of your being.
Rest here.
When you notice that you're being drawn back onto the surface,
Turn from the thought,
Turn from the emotion and the sensation,
And sink into the serenity that is your soul's essence.
Rest here in the serenity that this stillness provides.
Each time you notice you're being pulled to the emotion,
No need to wrestle with it,
Gently turn,
Dropping beneath it,
Into the deep stillness.
This peace that surpasses all circumstances will support your being.
Rest here as we bring this meditation to a close.
Let the serenity be the invitation of the presence of love within you.
Allow the serenity to permeate your whole being.
And now with a deep cleansing breath,
Open your eyes as you gradually engage with your surrounding.
