So find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down where you won't be disturbed.

Take a couple of deep breaths,

Allowing yourself to relax and closing your eyes.

Keep your attention on the breath for now.

And if at any point you do get distracted,

Simply bring your attention back to the exercise.

And now visualize yourself walking along a forest path.

As you walk,

You come across an old wise figure sitting beneath a large tree.

This figure embodies the sage archetype.

Take a moment to observe the sage's appearance,

Noticing the air of wisdom and serenity that surrounds them.

Sit down next to the sage and take a moment to quieten your mind.

Now bring to mind a question you would like to ask the sage.

It may be something related to your understanding of yourself and your purpose,

How to cultivate a more meaningful life,

Or advice around any current challenge.

Alternatively,

You can just sit in silence and allow the sage to say whatever they have to say.

As you converse with the sage,

Pay attention to their words,

Tone and body language.

Take note of any insights,

Advice,

Or guidance that they offer.

As your conversation draws to a close,

The sage offers you a gift,

Which may come in the form of a symbol or image.
