Welcome to your slowing down meditation.
This meditation is designed to help you pause,
Create space and slow down within your body and mind.
Starting by finding a comfortable position,
Closing down your eyes and starting to focus on each inhale and exhale of your breath.
Notice if you can start to elongate each inhale to be the same length as your exhale.
Perhaps even noticing that subtle pause between each inhale and exhale.
Starting to gather up the events that led you to this point in time.
Conversations that you still may be worrying about or thinking about what you have to do after this point in time.
Starting up all of this noise and simply placing them outside of your mind and your body.
And they'll be there to collect after if you wish.
Start to check in with yourself now as to how you truly feel.
What do you truly need?
Instead of beating yourself up for feeling these emotions,
Wishing to change them or even judge the current experience that you're having.
Can you simply accept how you feel at this moment without needing to change it or improve it?
It is only by accepting how you feel.
Allowing these emotions to wash over you.
That you can truly move through them.
And releasing the sticky control that they might be having over you.
Scan your internal body now.
Sending any areas of tension,
Constriction or even irritation and agitation.
Giving your breath to these areas of tightness and stickiness throughout your body.
Letting each inhale and exhale to soften any areas of tension or unease.
Noticing the effects this slowing down is having on your body.
Your heart beat is slowing down.
The subtle changes in your pulse.
You may even start to hear rumblings from your stomach.
As your body finally tells you it's safe to rest and digest.
You may start to feel a softening around your shoulders.
Through the front of your chest.
Even feeling this melting of your face.
Feeling any tension through your jaw,
Your gaze,
Your teeth unclenching.
Simply observing the changes in the quantity and quality of your thoughts.
As you start to focus on slowing your breath down.
Letting each inhale and exhale to soften any areas of tension or unease.
If you notice that feeling of agitation,
Stress,
Anxiety,
Anxiety.
Stress or worry.
Start to rise within your body.
Once again simply welcoming this feeling.
Letting it to wash over your body.
And lovingly guide your attention back.
To each inhale and exhale of your breath.
Seeing that subtle rise and fall of your chest,
Your belly.
And simply watch each exhale carry out any tension from your body.
Allowing it to leave with ease.
And allowing this new found sense of peace,
Calm,
Grounding energy.
To exude from your being.
Knowing that no matter what happens as you leave this practice,
You can come back to this feeling.
This sense of steadiness.
The safety of resting and relaxing within your body.
Whenever you wish.
