Hello,

My name is Leigh.

This is the magic forest campfire meditation.

I'm going to take you on a relaxing and magical adventure through the forest where we'll find a little wooden cabin and a warm glowing campfire.

This is your special quiet time just for you to rest,

Imagine and breathe.

Let's start by sitting or lying down in a way that feels nice and comfortable for your body.

You can close your eyes if you want to,

Or just look softly at one spot.

Take a big breath in and let it out slowly,

Like you're blowing out a candle,

And let's do that again.

Breathe in and out.

So you don't have to do anything special,

Just be here.

Just breathe.

Let's notice how your body feels.

Can you feel your head touching the mat or the pillow?

Can you feel your back or your legs resting on the ground?

Maybe your arms feel heavy.

Maybe your fingers are still.

Now imagine your body getting soft like a cuddly toy.

There's no need to do anything,

Just let your body rest.

Take one more big breath in and breathe out slowly.

Now let's use your imagination.

Picture yourself standing at the edge of a big green forest.

There are tall trees all around,

So tall they tickle the clouds.

You hear birds singing and water dripping from the leaves.

Maybe you even smell fresh rain or sweet flowers.

You feel happy,

Calm and safe here.

Now you start walking down a soft path made of moss and leaves.

Your feet feel light and bouncy and with each step you feel more peaceful.

After walking for a little while you see a small wooden cabin.

It looks old but strong,

Like it's been part of the forest for a long time.

You walk up to the cabin and smile.

It feels like a quiet,

Friendly place.

You peek inside and see a soft blanket,

A tiny table and a big window that looks out into the trees.

You feel warm and peaceful.

Outside the cabin there's a circle of stones and right in the middle is a little campfire.

It's already glowing with soft orange flames.

You sit down near the fire,

Just close enough to feel its gentle warmth.

You hear the fire crackling.

You can see the flames dancing and twirling like little fairies.

Now take a deep breath in and as you breathe out imagine the fire helping you let go of anything that's been bothering you.

Maybe you want to throw something into the fire,

Like a worry or a bad dream or a grumpy feeling.

Imagine placing it gently into the fire and watching it burn away into sparkly smoke.

You are safe,

You are calm and everything is okay.

Now take a moment to sit quietly by your fire.

Feel the warm glow in your body.

Feel how light and peaceful you are inside.

You might feel a little sleepy or a little smiley and that's perfect.

Now imagine the fire getting smaller and smaller.

The flames gently go out.

The smoke drifts up to the sky like a soft cloud.

You feel good.

You feel proud.

You feel calm.

Now,

As we come back,

Bring your attention back to your body.

Wriggle your fingers and your toes like you're waking them up.

Stretch your arms or your legs if that feels nice.

Take one last deep breath in and let it out like a big sigh.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

You've just gone on a magical journey and it's one you can return to anytime just by sitting quietly and breathing.

Thank you for joining me.

I'm so proud of you.

Namaste.
