Take a moment to find a comfortable but strong seated position.
A place where your spine can feel long and straight.
Your hands resting in your lap.
And maybe give your shoulders a bit of a roll.
And your neck a bit of a bend.
As you move into that position.
And as your body begins to settle.
Just gently close your eyes.
And feel the weight of your body.
How gravity is holding you in complete balance with everything around you.
No effort required.
Notice the contact points.
And where your body touches the seat of the ground underneath you.
Let your body settle and rest.
Take a deep conscious breath in now.
And slowly release that breath now out through the mouth.
As you're breathing out let your shoulders drop and relax.
Another deep breath in.
And slowly all the way out again.
Letting go,
Relaxing.
Letting the body settle as you breathe all the way out.
Bring your breath back to a nice steady pace now.
Direct your focus to the area around your jaw.
Consciously unclench your jaw.
Move your focus now up to the area around your forehead.
And let that area completely soften.
Your whole body now just feels weightless,
Relaxed and at ease.
Begin to be conscious now of your breath.
And as you breathe in.
You feel as if you're breathing in life itself.
A type of energy coming into the body.
It goes down,
You feel your lungs and your belly expand with this light and energy.
And when you breathe out it's a gentle release.
You feel your body and your chest falling.
And the flow continues.
With each breath you feel a deeper sense of gratitude welcoming into the body.
Bring your attention to the area around your chest.
And as with each breath in you feel that area crack open.
It opens up the heart and a sense of love and gratitude resides within the chest region.
And now starts to move throughout the body.
These tingling sensations you feel move right up to the top of your head.
Now to the tips of your fingers,
Down to the very end of your toes.
Feel life itself residing within you.
Let a gentle smile move across your face.
As you're in this place of peace.
Slowly bring your awareness back.
Open your eyes.
And carry this peace and sense of serenity with you for the rest of the day.
