Good morning and welcome to another brand new day.

What a gift that is that we have another opportunity to choose how we want to live this life.

And I am deeply grateful that you have chosen to start today to be with me here and now.

And that is all I ask of you to open yourself and to simply be here now.

Find yourself a comfortable but strong seated position whether that might be sitting cross-legged on the floor or simply on a chair.

Somewhere where your spine is strong,

Long and straight.

Maybe give your shoulders a bit of a roll,

Your neck a bit of a bend as you're wriggling into that comfortable but certain position.

Hands are just resting in your lap,

Palms facing up.

And when you're ready,

With intention and purpose,

Close your eyes.

And just take a moment to feel the weight of your body.

Feel how gravity is perfectly holding you in your space where you are right now.

Now take a nice deep energizing breath in through the nose as far as possible.

And hold there the top of the breath for a few moments.

And you feel all the air and the energy in the body.

Gently now let that breath go nice and slow out through the mouth.

And as you're breathing out,

Just let your shoulders relax,

Let them drop down as if they're just hanging off the neck.

One more nice conscious deep breath in.

And through the nose as far as possible.

And again hold it there for a few moments.

Again just enjoy the feeling of all that new morning air and energy in the body.

And slowly release.

Now through the mouth.

Let your jaw relax.

Let your forehead relax.

If you feel any tension anywhere else,

Just let that tension melt away as if it's melting onto the ground around you.

Your spine is long and straight and your mind is sharp and it is here now.

I now invite you to turn your awareness inwards.

And you do so by bringing your attention to the most basic but essential element of all human life.

The breath.

Feel everything about the morning air and energy right now when you breathe in,

Move through the nose.

What can you feel and notice as that happens?

Can you feel all of the tingling sensations that the air has as it passes through the nose?

What about the temperature,

The coolness of the air?

The speed in which it travels through the nose?

Just simply observe and enjoy this feeling.

Open yourself up.

And as the air passes through the nose when you breathe in and you can feel that,

I ask you to follow the air.

Where does the air then go?

Can you then feel the air begin to move down into the lungs?

What happens when that happens?

Your belly begins to expand and like a wave going up the body,

Your chest then begins to expand as well.

And then it reaches a certain point and naturally without any effort,

It knows exactly when to begin to leave the body.

Feel and notice the air leaving the body.

What happens?

Your shoulders slightly drop,

Your chest begins to fall,

Your belly falls.

Sense of ease comes over you,

Let go.

And then take your focus back to the inside of the nose,

Breathe in.

All of that morning air and energy funneling all the way through the nose.

Follow that stream down as it swallows into the lungs,

Feeling and noticing all the subtle changes and movements in the body that the breath has.

Just let yourself go,

Let yourself open up and connect with your breath.

I ask you now to bring your right hand and place it over your heart,

Followed by your left hand over your right hand.

Consciously now feel the beating of your heart and your hands.

As you feel life itself in your palms,

Your life.

And as you feeling life reside in you,

Invite a sense of gratefulness in.

As if you're breathing in a feeling of thankfulness,

A feeling of gratitude.

Breathe it in,

Into the heart.

Feel the heart as the gratitude enters into the heart.

It's almost like a light.

You can feel it residing in your chest.

Let that feeling now crack open your heart,

Expand your heart,

Breathe into that space.

You can feel the light.

You can feel life,

That sense of gratitude,

The gift that we have here now to experience the beauty of life.

Let all the vibrations rush through the body.

Feel all the tingling sensations.

Whatever emotions you're feeling,

Just let them wash over you.

Let a gentle smile move across your face.

Breathe into that space.

And as you're feeling this state of joy and gratitude,

Gently now let your hands rest back in your lap.

Open yourself back up.

Breathe into that feeling of lightness,

Of space.

You might feel your body floating.

Let your whole being absorb that sense of gratitude.

And let you be a light throughout the day ahead.

A source of inspiration,

Compassion and kindness.

Feel everything about it.

And as you're in this state of oneness and connection,

Of gratitude,

Just gently bring your awareness back into the body.

Be conscious of your breath right now.

And just gently blink your eyes open and wherever your gaze is,

Just let it sit there for a few moments.

Let your senses absorb everything that's around you right now,

Sending you love and light for the day ahead.

Namaste.
