This guided meditation is a great way to relax and unwind. Particularly if you've had a long, hard day and are getting ready for bed. I would recommend finding a comfortable place to lie down (although not essential) for this meditation and listening to it with headphones on for an optimal experience. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful.

Hi there.

This meditation is just a bit of time for you to relax and let go of all the stress,

The burdens,

The to-dos that we so often get caught up in every day.

No where else you need to be,

Nothing else you need to do.

But just simply taking a moment for yourself here and now.

Go with me on a journey to connect with,

Soak and simply bask in the glory,

The gift of the here and now.

Lay down,

Close your eyes if they aren't already.

You can stretch the body a little bit if you want,

Just get nice and comfy.

Okay.

Take a nice,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

Filling up the entire body with me.

Let it all go with that exhale out through the mouth.

Let all your muscles relax.

Another slow,

Deep inhale.

Fill it up.

Exhale out through the mouth and again,

Let all the worries go with that out breath,

Muscles relaxing.

One more nice,

Slow,

Deep inhale.

Breathing through the nose,

Smile and out through the mouth,

Relax the shoulder,

Soften your muscles,

Let it all go.

Allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.

In fact,

Tune in and enjoy the feeling of the breath coming back to its natural pace.

Each exhale,

Seeing if you can allow yourself to let go a little bit further,

Allowing all your muscles to soften a bit more.

Bring your awareness to wherever your hands rest.

It doesn't matter where they are,

Just be aware of your hands.

Find an out breath and when you breathe out,

Let the hands be heavy,

Relax the wrists,

Fingers at ease.

Allow your awareness to drift up to your shoulders.

Find an out breath again and when you breathe out,

Let the shoulders drop a little bit further.

Release.

Let go.

Continue to allow the awareness to move up through the back of the neck,

Entering into the base of the skull.

Your head is heavy.

Allowing your awareness to expand out over the forehead now.

Find an out breath again,

This time when you breathe out.

Release all the tension from the forehead,

So it's nice and smooth.

Just simply enjoy that release.

Awareness around the jaw now.

Out breath and when you breathe out,

Unclench the jaw,

Let the ears drop,

The lips slightly part.

Breathe here.

The wonderful feeling of allowing yourself to let go through the body.

The breath is nice and steady.

Simply soaking in the moment,

When we so often get caught up in our thinking mind what has happened,

What needs to happen.

We forget of how wonderful and beautiful it is to simply sit or lay here and connect with the here and now.

Feel the rising and falling of your chest and belly with your breath.

The cool air touching your exposed skin down your arms.

Feeling of the body melting away.

Again nowhere else you need to be,

Nothing else you need to do.

But just simply allowing yourself to be here now.

Remember to not be so hard on yourself.

Remember to surround yourself with people whom support,

Uplift you.

And most of all remember the gift of life itself is here for you to be able to connect with at any time you choose.

Let go.

The essence within you is there,

Perfect,

Waiting for you to connect with it.

Now just gently begin to feel your awareness coming back into the body.

If the fingers is a little bit of a rub the toes a wriggle.

Let a smile stretch across your face.

Because there's so much to be grateful for.

Big deep inhale fill up the entire body with me.

Hold it there,

That smile still across the face.

Let it all go with that out breath and when you're breathing out crack the eyes open.

Just let your gaze move around the room.

Sending love and light to you wherever you're at.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
