This is the stillness meditation.

This is a simple breath awareness meditation to give you the support you need to quiet your mind to experience inner peace and stillness.

Allow yourself to prepare for this meditation by gently closing your eyes,

Getting your body completely comfortable and taking some deep breaths to relax yourself.

Resting your hands in your lap or down by your sides with your palms facing upright.

Take a few deep breaths just to ground yourself into this present moment allowing yourself to start to relax.

Slowly begin by bringing all of your attention into the here and now.

If you notice that there are some thoughts in your mind that is okay.

Just choose to take your attention away from your thoughts and bring it all here to this present moment.

Take a long slow deep breath in,

Hold it for a moment and slowly letting it go.

Take another long slow deep breath in,

Holding for a moment and slowly releasing the air.

Slowing your breath down,

Slowing your mind down and slowing your body down.

Bring everything down,

Bring all of your awareness into your body.

Begin to sense your body,

The position it is in and how it feels at this moment.

Become aware of how your breath feels and how your mind feels.

Bringing all of your awareness to focus deep within your body.

Focus your attention on your breath and as you breathe in feel the air moving in through your nose and down into your belly.

As you breathe out feel the air leaving your belly and moving out through your nose.

Continue focusing your attention on your breath as you breathe in and out.

And just allow yourself to breathe in and out.

Just allow yourself to completely relax.

Allow your breath to flow freely through your body.

Becoming aware of any sensations you might feel moving through your body in this moment.

Really open up your awareness and become aware of your body.

Feel your body with your breath.

Feel into your heart and expand your heart space.

Allow yourself to connect to the feelings you are experiencing in this moment within your heart.

Feel your emotions and your feelings.

Open your awareness and connect to these feelings for just a moment.

Become aware of everything that is happening within your body right now.

The feelings,

The sensations,

The energy.

Feel the inner peace expanding within and feel for the stillness that lies within you.

Breathing in and out,

Focusing on the present moment.

Breathing deep within yourself on every level.

You are supported and connected by your breath.

Use your breath to settle your body and your mind whenever you need.

Find and connect to your inner peace and stillness.

And allow yourself to always be aware of every part of you.

Gently bring your awareness back to the here and now.

Take one last deep breath in before connecting back to your physical body.

Can you feel ready,

Slowly open your eyes and become aware of the lighting around you.
