So we're going to do a meditation for you to experience how energy shows up in particularly in your body and if you want to put your feet flat on the floor,
Sit up straight.
If you feel called to lie down,
You can lie down,
But it's not necessary.
We're just going to arrive here.
Take a breath in.
Again,
Inhale in.
And one more in.
And this time,
Relax your shoulders.
Let them drop.
You don't need to hold anything.
You don't need to do anything.
Right now,
We just get to be.
And so I'm going to call different parts of the body.
And when I call that part of the body,
I want you to just observe what happens to the body.
So let's start with your right knee.
Put your attention on your right knee and notice what happens to the body when you are focusing on your right knee.
Now move to the left side of your neck.
Just the left side of the neck.
What sensations come up when you focus on the left side of the neck?
Now move to your right pinky.
Maybe it's the tip.
Maybe it's the finger.
However you interpret the right pinky,
Place your attention on the right pinky and notice how that feels in the body.
Let's move to your tongue.
The tip of your tongue.
Maybe the entire tongue.
And then allow the energy to accumulate in your tongue and notice how that feels.
Next move to your shins.
Both shins.
Try to give them both attention and maybe one activates more than the other but see if you can focus on both of them and notice if there's similarities or differences in the way the energy presents itself.
Now move to the top of your head.
Specifically your hair follicles.
See if you can feel all the different hair follicles or maybe it's just one big energetic sensation at the head.
As you have probably noticed,
When we focus on different aspects of the body,
They light up in a certain way.
Maybe they tingle.
Maybe they get warm.
Maybe they get cold.
But they stand out in a way where the rest of the body just sort of just fades to the background.
And that is an application for the understanding that what you focus on gets fed energy.
So if you are focusing on the positive things,
More positive things will be fed and they will be energized.
And if you are focusing on the negative things,
Those things will be fed and energized.
So we just want to be mindful of where we are choosing to place our focus because where your attention goes,
Your energy flows.
You can come back into your body,
Into the room,
Into the space we're in.
Maybe you want to start by wiggling your fingers or your toes.
Maybe some gentle movement would feel good.
Rolling your neck or maybe moving your hips.
And then when you feel ready,
You can open your eyes.
