Dear one.
Welcome to this time that's just for you.
Time to sink in with yourself,
Your parenting self.
Welcome.
Let's begin with breath.
Breathing in gently and exhaling.
Breathing in this moment and being nourished by it.
And breathing out,
Releasing what is no longer needed back to the atmosphere.
Breathing into your body and letting the oxygen find those places that are calling for it.
Maybe places of tension or immobility or pain.
Make adjustments in your body,
Some part of you just a little more comfortable and content.
Just breathe and allow your body to do what it knows how to do to become present.
If your mind is attached to something that's already happened or something that might happen,
Allow those thoughts to float away on clouds.
Let there be spaciousness in your mind as you come more and more into the now.
And now connecting with your heart center,
Feeling your heartbeat as blood moves through it,
In and out.
Noticing whatever emotions are there as they flow through you.
Just acknowledging what you're feeling right now.
There's so much room here for all that you're feeling.
Allow gravity to hold you as you travel further into meditation,
Further into the mysterious combination of light and love that you are.
And as you journey inward,
I invite you to welcome your guides and gods into this space,
Whomever they may be.
Allah,
Jesus,
Great Spirit,
Deities that support you,
White Tara,
Kuan Yin,
Your ancestors,
Your totem animals.
Just allow your mind to look toward a horizon and see who appears to support you today.
Welcome,
Dear ones.
This is a clearing ceremony,
A time for pruning and rebalancing.
I invite you to release any assumptions you might have about what is ready to be released now and be open to what appears.
No expectation,
Just open to receive guidance and healing.
No right or wrong,
No judgments,
Just willingness in your heart.
And now as you breathe,
Visualize a glowing light in your heart,
A gentle golden color.
Breathe in,
Expand the space around your heart and see that golden light glowing and growing and filling your heart space.
With each breath,
This beautiful glow fills your whole chest and starts radiating out to the rest of your body.
You can feel the light filling your belly,
Your solar plexus and your internal organs,
Down into your pelvis,
Your legs,
Golden light swirling around your knees,
Down your shins,
Your ankles,
To all the little bones of your feet.
And also from your heart space,
You can feel it radiating upward,
Filling your shoulders and arms,
Flowing up your neck into the base of your head and your jaw,
Rising up into your brain.
And now your whole body is glowing with light.
Breathing gently,
Visualize that light from your heart,
Composed of many,
Many,
Many filaments,
Like tiny threads of light that connect you to all the things you love and all the people you love.
Microscopic filaments of light,
All connected to your heart and radiating out to others.
And some of these filaments are connected to your child,
That amazing miracle in your life.
And your child is growing now.
And as your relationship continues to shift and change,
It may be that some of these filaments of light,
All the ways you are connected to each other,
Some of them are ready to change.
Some are ready to be released and to be allowed to rest now.
You aren't required to figure out what to keep and what to let go.
No,
In this moment,
Trust the guides and spirits who know.
Trust your body.
Trust the enfoldment of your parenting journey.
Breathe,
Breathe slow and gentle,
No need to force.
You may see some of these filaments of light pulled out,
Stretched very thin,
Even thinner.
You may see some of them grow brighter and thicker.
You may see some of them blink once or twice and disappear.
Trust this.
Allow change to happen.
Welcome renewal.
The love between you and your child is changing,
Has always been changing and always will be.
So as your connections to them flow and reconfigure,
As they change shape and texture and intensity,
All is well.
The relationship continues to grow and change,
Not better or worse,
Just different,
New,
New expressions of love now.
Filaments of love that connects your amazing golden light to theirs in this wonderful and difficult role of being a parent to a child who is growing and becoming an independent adult.
Breathe gently,
Dear parent.
Receive the gifts of spirit as you release and hold on at the same time.
Hmm.
I invite you to gently lift your hand and place it on your heart.
Sense the contact between your heart and your hand,
Your hand feeling your heartbeat,
Your heart feeling your hand upon it.
Before we travel back,
If you have any words or gestures or gestures of gratitude or completion,
Go ahead.
And now slowly beginning the journey back towards here and now.
Slowly,
Slowly.
Noticing perhaps a little more lightness in your heart,
More clarity,
More peace coming back toward this day and this place.
When you feel ready,
You can rub your hands together,
Touch your arms and legs,
Just beginning to feel your body again.
There's no rush.
And when you feel ready to open your eyes,
I invite you to begin by looking at your own body,
Things that are very close to you,
Your fingers and wrists.
Taking a moment to take in your immediate surroundings and then a little more and then gradually taking in the rest of the room.
Perhaps you feel like stretching or loosening something in your body now as you adjust to this new version of you as a parent.
Can you feel something in your heart or your belly?
May you be curious as you step into the rest of your day and delighted as you feel what has shifted in you.
