Settling in now,

Letting gravity hold you.

Breathing gently,

In and out,

Opening your chest,

Opening your belly.

Let there be space in you.

Find your position of comfort.

Notice what parts of your body are asking for more ease.

Make those adjustments.

Settle in.

Find yourself here and now.

Breath entering your body,

Blood circulating,

Your bones holding your posture,

Your muscles engaged but relaxed.

Nothing else needs to come with you in this ritual,

Just you as you are in this moment,

Breathing and going inward.

Allowing yourself to turn toward your own inner hearth on this wintery day,

Toward the warmth of your love,

The glow of your preciousness and your wisdom,

All you believe in.

Just take a moment now to welcome in your guides and gods,

However you name them,

The source,

The love,

The oneness,

God,

Allah,

Great spirit.

Welcome in your totem animals,

Your plant teachers,

Your ancestors,

The dear deities that walk beside you.

Welcome dear ones,

You are so welcome,

Welcome spirits of the east,

The south,

The west and the north,

Welcome spirits of air,

Fire,

Water,

Earth.

In your own way welcome these supports,

These sources of wisdom,

These expressions of love.

Welcome to be here now with you.

Going deeper now.

Going deeper,

Sense the back of your body,

Feel the back of your head,

The back of your neck and shoulder blades.

Feel your spine down your back,

Your kidneys,

Your tailbone,

Buttocks.

Feel the back of your legs,

The backs of your knees,

All the way down to your heels.

Feel all that supports you from behind,

Your past,

Your lineage,

All of it there at your back.

Sense into that support and love.

Allow yourself to register that.

And with that I invite you to look over the past year,

All that has happened in your life,

In your family.

What is it that you're done with?

Is yes and ways of being to beliefs,

Assumptions,

Narratives,

Habits,

Perspectives,

Reactions.

Just breathe and allow the images to come to you.

What have you shed this year?

Last spring?

Last summer?

Last fall?

Last week?

What beliefs have you set down about who you are as a mother,

Father or caregiver?

When you're ready,

Cast your vision over them as they gather behind you.

See them for a moment as gifts you were given.

Look at each one.

What did that way,

That circumstance give to you?

How was that behavior or belief valuable?

What beauty and truth has it left you with?

And how is that learning in you?

How does it support you?

Let that knowing rest at your back,

Let it have your back,

Let it be in you.

Give thanks for this support.

And now let's transition,

Looking forward now,

Turning your attention to the future.

I invite you to feel the front of your body,

Your forehead,

Your eyes,

Nose,

Throat and your heart facing forward.

Your belly,

Knees and toes.

They're all facing forward but allow yourself to be still.

No need to rush forward right now.

Just your eyes looking toward the horizon.

What might be next for you and your evolution as a parent?

You don't need to reach way out for this or strain for it.

Your mind doesn't need to make a list right now.

Take another breath and be still where you are.

Only reach out from your heart to see what you might catch a glimpse of.

No preconceptions,

No shoulds,

Just curiosity,

Openness.

Wait patiently for what appears.

It doesn't have to make sense.

Just notice it.

We ask to be shown and we receive what is given.

Breathe it into your belly,

Breathe it into your heart.

It doesn't matter whether it's an animal or an object or a color or a person or a place,

Whatever was shown to you,

Whatever.

Accept it with gratitude and breathe it in.

Breathe it into your body and allow it to mingle with the fluids and tissues of your body.

Allow it to be a seed that will sprout in its due time this year.

There's nothing else you need to do about it right now.

Just breathe it in and trust.

And now,

Re-centering.

Neither in the past nor the future,

But here.

What is true here and now?

In this breath,

Where are you in your parenting journey?

Where are you standing right now?

Breathe gently and deeply.

And name the things that are true about you as a parent right now.

Start with,

I am breathing.

I am a parent too.

Right now I know.

Right now I can.

Right now I am.

I am.

You are the perfect parent for your child.

You know how to create safety and dignity and belonging for them.

You are good enough,

Strong enough,

Patient enough,

Wise enough.

You are the one.

What else is true for you as a parent right now?

What else needs to be acknowledged?

Their love is the perfect love for them.

And you are supported,

Dear one.

At your back is all of your experiences,

All of your learnings,

All of your efforts.

They are there holding you.

And behind them are your ancestors,

The ones who have come before.

And all that they have experienced and learned.

You are held and supported by all of this.

And you are held by your guides and gods.

You are welcomed into tomorrow and into next year.

The seeds of your life are ready to blossom out in front of you as you walk your path.

Your new friends and supporters are there too.

New loves,

New experiences.

Yes,

Take heart,

Dear one.

It is all well.

Yours is the sacred role bringing forward the next ones to walk on this earth,

The next ones to love.

Yours is the perfect love.

And you are divine,

Dear parent.

You are love in human form.

You were designed for parenthood,

This role that seemingly has no instructions other than to learn and grow alongside these younger ones.

And so you are,

Growing and learning and evolving and ever growing into divine light.

Mother Nature.

As you prepare to come back,

Slowly,

Gently,

Take a look around your sacred circle,

Your friends or totem animals or plant guides or gods to show your respect and gratitude for what's been shown to you today.

Let your heart be full of love.

And slowly,

Slowly coming back.

Rub your fingers together,

Stretch your back a little.

Slowly there's plenty of time.

Still plenty of time.

As you rub your arms and legs or turn your head,

Start opening your eyes a little.

Gently,

Gently.

Feel that bright love in your heart with you always as you step into the next part of your day.

Let that treasure absorbency start moving now.
