You are listening to the Motherhood Unstressed Podcast and I'm your host Liz Carlisle.
Thank you for joining me for another guided meditation to find your center,
To release stress,
To feel calm and at peace within and let go the constant chatter that's always with you.
So to begin you can choose any comfortable position that feels good to you.
You can be laying on your back,
On your yoga mat or in bed or with your legs crossed in a traditional mudra.
The point is to be relaxed but alert.
Start by elongating your breaths.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and hold at the top and release and hold.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
Release,
Hold.
And deep breath in,
Hold,
Release,
Hold.
Turn to a gentle rhythmic breathing but keep your breaths a little bit longer,
Your inhalations,
Your exhalations so it's more intentional,
More thoughtful.
And as you do so,
Notice how your body seems to be responding to your breath,
How even your heartbeat and the pace of your thoughts are slowing down.
Feel stress melting away,
Starting at the top of your head,
Sinking down,
Relaxing your shoulders as it goes,
Softening your joints,
Releasing tension down your spine,
Detoxifying stress away until it melts to where your body meets the floor or your bed.
It seeps down lower,
Past the floorboards,
Past the foundation into the earth to be cleansed away.
Notice how light you feel from the simple rhythm of your breathing,
The internal intelligence,
Detoxifying anxiety,
Stress and inflammation out of your body and how at peace you feel within knowing that the work you're doing now is transforming the atoms in your body towards health and light,
Towards who you really are,
Who you've always been beyond this body.
With every breath,
You're connecting more to your highest self,
The universal consciousness that knows no limits,
No past,
Present or future,
But all time.
And as you in this body connect to your highest self,
You grow your own sense of intuition and inner knowing and feeling of connectedness to all things,
Understanding in this quiet moment that you are not separate from the whole and that you play an intricate part in the fabric,
In the story of the universe.
Take the next minute or so to deepen that understanding,
Inner awakening and knowing and relax and breathe into your corporal form while also strengthening your connection to the universe.
All right then.
Take a deep breath in now to come back fully into your body and let it all go.
Once more,
Deep,
Deep breath in.
Hold one more sip and let it go.
You can stay in this position for as long as you need or if you're ready,
You can get up,
Do some gentle stretching,
Drink some water,
And maybe write down anything that came up for you during these moments of quiet and reflection.
Thank you for doing the work.
Until next week,
Namaste.
