And this is a mindful morning to help release the inner critic.
A lot of the times we wake up in the morning with criticism towards ourselves or others.
And criticism without action or just pure judgment without the idea of discernment isn't really helpful first thing in the morning,
Especially if we're beating ourselves up.
For today,
The overall theme of releasing the inner critic,
Releasing internal and external judgment will help us ground down to our overall intention for the day,
The morning,
The week.
So go ahead,
Come into a comfortable seated position or come to lie on down.
Take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale.
Big deep inhale and exhale.
Last big deep breath in and exhale.
Take a moment to find gratitude in simply waking up this morning.
Take a moment of pride for making your way to this meditation.
Take a nice big deep inhale and exhale.
Take a moment of compassion,
Especially if you woke up with some thoughts that were beating yourself up or beating others up.
Clear the mind of thoughts that do not serve you.
Let go.
And in this beautiful space of connecting to your thoughts,
Connecting to your pride,
Your compassion,
Your gratitude,
Begin to meditate on the times or the words or the thoughts or the feelings that come up when you are judging yourself,
When you are hard on yourself,
The negative things you might say,
How most of those things you may never say to someone you love,
Someone you care about.
Take a nice big deep inhale into those feelings and exhale.
And ask yourself,
Who would I be without this energy of judgment?
What would I be doing?
Who would I be serving?
How can I release this energy of judgment today?
Big deep inhale,
Gentle exhale.
From here,
Begin to meditate upon the thoughts,
The feelings,
The words that come up when you judge others.
Take a moment to breathe into these feelings without judging yourself or criticizing or beating yourself up.
Judgment is normal.
We just want to fuel that energy into something greater.
So go ahead and meditate on these feelings.
Breathe in.
Exhale.
And ask yourself,
Who would I be today without these feelings of judgment?
What would I be doing?
What would I be focusing on in my own realm of happiness?
What could occupy my mind and my heart instead of this feeling of judgment?
And who would I be serving?
Take a nice big deep inhale into your body and exhale.
Breathing in peace,
Love,
Exhaling judgment.
And go ahead and set an intention based on these thoughts,
Based on the things you have meditated on.
May this intention serve you for the remainder of your day,
Your week,
Your month,
Even maybe your year.
