As we begin,
Make yourself comfortable in either a seated or lying down position.
Close down your eyes.
Your spine is tall,
Long,
Straight,
Yet comfortable.
Your hands gently placed in your lap are resting at your sides.
Allow the crown of your head to guide your head upwards.
Your chin is slightly tucked.
Smooth out the lines of your forehead.
Unfurl your brow,
Allowing the skin to soften and release.
Relax your eyes,
Relax your ears,
Relax your jaw.
Place the tip of your tongue behind your front teeth,
Allowing the tongue to relax and widen down into the throat.
Your neck is long and relaxed.
Release your shoulders down,
Tucking the shoulder blades neatly into your spine,
Allowing your chest to open up.
We now come to the practice of meditation.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Breathing in and out of your nose.
Focusing the breath at the tip of the nostrils.
Notice the coolness of the incoming breath and the warmth of the outgoing breath.
Now draw your breath down deeper into your belly.
Notice how your belly moves out on the inhale and back towards the spine on the exhale.
Your breath is a silky thread,
Soft,
Continuous and effortless.
Not forced or held in any way.
Notice how you relax and soften with awareness to the breath.
How calm and present you become.
Focusing your attention between your eyebrows,
I invite you to bring to mind a vision.
A vision of yourself as you slip into bed tonight.
A gentle smile playing at the corner of your lips.
A feeling of contentment and peace in your heart.
A sense of worthiness,
Value and contribution.
Maybe a vision of your legacy,
Working towards sharing the gift that only you can bring into this life.
Maybe a vision of connecting with your favorite and most loved people.
Maybe a vision of health,
Of healing.
A vision of your own personal achievement.
Now bring to mind two actions that you can do today to make this vision a reality.
Make a commitment to doing them first up,
Before anything else.
Or if it's something planned for later in the day,
Fiercely protect the commitment from any distractions,
Delays or other people's demands of you.
You may think that two actions won't make much of a difference.
However,
Life is like a beaded necklace.
Each bead,
A day.
The beads strung together,
A life.
Each bead chosen with purpose or distraction.
The necklace,
When it's finished,
A reflection of the chosen beads.
In much the same way that someday in the future,
On reflection,
Two carefully chosen and prioritized actions a day will have created your meaningful and beautiful life.
Know that when you commit and move towards something that you care about deeply,
That people around you are moved and inspired to support you.
Life plays to your advantage.
The odds are naturally in your favor.
Aligning with you to bring about your best interests of your highest good.
Let's give thanks for this opportunity to live another day.
Thanks for the ability to commit to two actions.
Thank yourself for practicing meditation.
To focus,
Gain clarity and perspective.
Bring your hands to your heart and repeat after me.
May I be healthy.
May I be happy.
May I be free from fear,
Stress,
Anxiety and worries.
May I be at peace.
And may my whole life be truly blessed.
Bringing your attention back to the world around you.
Opening your eyes.
You are creating a life you love.
Namaste.
