You are about to embark on a journey of forgiveness Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down Quiet your mind Focus on your breath Allow it to bring you into the present moment With each breath you become more and more relaxed Breathe in to your heart The area surrounding your heart Breathe in and out of your heart space Forgiveness comes from the heart It is where your innate kindness and loving nature resides Forgiveness brings a healing to your heart A softening Forgiveness offers an opportunity to clear the past To let go of what no longer serves you We'll begin the practice by forgiving ourselves Breathing in to your heart space Silently to yourself,
Repeat after me For the self-harm I have caused,
By word or by action,
With intention or by accident,
I forgive myself We will now forgive ourselves for the harm that we have caused others Breathing in to your heart space,

With intent or by accident,
I forgive myself We can recognize that we are spiritual beings having a human experience We are on unique paths,
Our own journey of learning and growth We are doing the best that we can with the resources that we have Our behavior does not define us We can choose to change We can change our instant reactions Our patterns of behavior Our habits We can change them when we choose to do so We don't have to be held to our history We can change our behavior even from as little as five minutes ago We can choose a different path starting right now Even if you don't believe it,
Know that this is a universal truth It is true for you and true for those around you Allow for compassion in your heart,
Forgiveness for others It doesn't mean that you condone their behavior You don't accept the harm that they caused Forgiveness means that you choose to let go Let go of the energy that you spend begrudging them of their actions Let go of continually holding them responsible for how they have done you wrong You are forgiving them to free yourself Choose forgiveness and reclaim your energy Breathing into your heart space,

I forgive you Bring to mind someone who is more difficult to forgive Remember that you're not condoning their behavior or accepting the harm You are choosing to clear the past,
Choosing a better way to use your energy Breathing into your heart space,
Silently say their name to yourself Say to this person,
For the harm you have caused me,
By word or by action,
With intent or by accident,
I forgive you Be kind to yourself and allow time and space when forgiving Practicing daily forgiveness creates a lighter way to live When you choose a path of forgiveness,
You choose to redirect your energy Forgiveness will bring peace,
