This guided meditation is meant to calm your busy brain and calm anxious feelings.

Most teens experience some level of anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by all your feelings and thoughts is very normal.

Doing regular meditations like this will help you gain some control over these feelings and will enable you to get a better grip on anxious feelings and will help you deal with other people's judgement.

Start by finding a comfortable private spot and get comfortable.

It doesn't matter if it's sitting or laying down,

Whatever feels right for you,

There is no right or wrong in meditation.

If your thoughts drift away,

That's fine.

Just gently come back to my voice and accept the other thoughts without judgement.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.

Make sure you breathe out fully.

Another deep breath in and fully out.

With your next breath in,

Breathe in positivity and breathe out the bad feelings.

Maybe you feel judged by your peers.

Breathe in their acceptance and breathe out a negative judgement.

In with the positive,

Out with the negative.

Feel your body filling with positive feelings and feel how it's replacing the insecurities you felt before.

You are accepted.

You are perfect.

You are who you were meant to be.

Now,

Imagine walking down a path.

You're all alone.

Nobody is around.

This is your secret place nobody else can reach.

You hear birds around you and the leaves gently rustle in the soft breeze.

You reach your own special spot,

A small clearing between some big old trees.

The trunks of the trees have deep grooves.

You run your fingers over the rough bark and feel its imperfections.

No matter how many little holes,

Snapped off branches or scars the trees have,

They are still perfect.

The tree grew through storms and accepted the scars the wind caused.

It just kept growing and embraced the new light the broken branches gave to the surrounding branches.

Imagine you and your life as a tree.

Sometimes we get hurt and a branch might even snap off.

But that hurt gives new light to new growth and helps us grow big and strong.

Stronger than we have ever been.

Our scars give us personality,

Make us who we were meant to be.

And who we were meant to be is exactly that.

Perfect in the universe.

Part of a bigger plan.

One day it will all fall together perfectly and you will see why some of the current hurt had to happen to make space for this perfect new beginning.

A tree doesn't just look at the broken branch on the ground.

It focuses on healing the wound and growing the branches in the new clear spot.

You sit down at the bottom of the big tree and lean against its strong trunk with your back.

The forest is perfectly calm and restful around you.

Nobody to judge you.

Nobody to hurt you.

Just you,

The strong trees and the warm sunshine.

You look up through the leaves and see the twinkling sun between them.

The trees seem to be reaching for the clouds.

They are high and move in the wind.

It reminds you of how strength sometimes means that you have to move a little in the wind.

Sometimes you have to be flexible so you don't break in the winds.

You have this flexibility in you.

You can move a little in the wind.

You are strong enough.

You stay seated for a while and breathe in the fresh air deeply.

You feel so calm.

You feel you and realize that's perfect.

You feel accepted by the universe and know that's all that matters.

People will always judge,

But their judgment won't change the truth.

That you are who you were meant to be.

Perfectly you.

Sit here for as long as you want.

When you feel ready,

Get up and walk back onto the path.

Back to real life.

You are filled with strength and positivity.

You are aware of yourself and how perfectly you,

You are.

Anytime you feel like it,

You can go back to this judgment free space and recharge this confidence you are feeling right now.

This is your sacred space that will always be there for you no matter what happens.

Enjoyed this with my eight year-old but for teens I wouldn’t recommend it well not I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t recommend it but it’s a little bit too young. I think for teens.
