Hi and welcome. I'm so glad you're here tonight for another story to help you relax and calm your brain. Tonight's story is about magic that is all around the world and can be used by anyone, Any night they need it. It's the kind of magic that will never run out, Will always be free and best of all you can tell everyone about it. Before we start the story, Let's get cozy. Pull up your sheets, Grab something to cuddle if you want, Feel your head sink into your fluffy pillow and take a deep breath. For a moment there, Just feel how your body is touching the mattress, How your sheets surround you. Are your toes warm enough? Are your legs nice and relaxed? Is your belly nice and soft? If it's not, Just take another deep breath in and let it go, Relaxing your belly. Now relax your arms, Your shoulders and even your face. That's awesome, You're doing great. You see, Relaxing helps the magic to work. When your body is loose and soft, The magic can flow in better and the great thing is the more often you do these relaxing exercises, The easier it will get for your body to relax. Moonlight magic is magic that was put into the night sky a long, Long, Long time ago. I'm not sure who exactly put the magic in the sky but I do know it's powerful magic that helps all people and even animals on earth. You see, Before the magic was put in the sky, The nights were super dark, Pitch black and as you can imagine, They were a bit scary. To help people and animals feel safer, A big, Giant ball of magic was created. It has all the good, Fussy feelings you get when you see kittens playing, You smell hot cocoa on a cold day, You feel the fur of your favourite pet, The hug of someone you love, The taste of a freezing popsicle on a hot summer's day, The belly laugh when someone tickles you, Well, You get it. All the good feelings combined in a big, Giant ball. The wonderful thing about this magic is that it keeps on filling up every time someone feels something good. A little bit of that good feeling will go into the ball and fill it up further. As you can imagine, All those good feelings made each other feel even better. So much so that they all started glowing, Brighter and brighter. Sometimes the good feelings feel so good, They start to sparkle and shoot little bright spots into the sky. We call these spots the moon and the stars. The moon watches over you every single night, Gently lighting up the darkness with its golden glow. The glow made from all those happy feelings. It's a glow that reaches every person and animal on earth, Even with the curtains closed. It's there even if the sun is still setting. It is made to gently reach your heart and put these happy, Fuzzy feelings into your body. All you need to do is lay back, Relax your body and your muscles. Think of something that makes you smile. Maybe it's your favorite animal. Maybe it's that feeling of being warm and cozy after a nice bath snuggled up in a big towel. Maybe it's the feeling of a big hug. It's whatever makes you happy. Just take a moment and imagine this quietly in your head. Try and imagine as many details and little things you can. How does it feel on your skin? What do you smell? What can you see? Do you feel how nice you feel on the inside now? This is Moonlight Magic. The Moonlight Magic will make sure it will keep your warm and cozy feelings all night long, Even when you sleep. Sometimes the magic is so strong it will help make things you just thought of come to life in your dreams. Try to keep thinking of your happy thought as you are falling asleep after this story. If your brain interrupts and thinks of other things, That's okay. When you realize, Just go back to your happy thought. If it's a bit hard, That's okay too. Try to focus on how you feel in your happy thought. Does it make your belly tingle? Do you feel a smile on your face? Some days your brain is very busy and the moon might not be as strong. That's okay. Just stay relaxed and feel how soft your pillow feels. Smell your shoes. Just relax your body and you'll see it will slowly drift off and calm your brain so the Moonlight Magic can come and give you awesome dreams.
