Close your eyes,
And let's begin by taking a deep,
Rejuvenating breath,
Allowing your chest and abdomen to rise.
Hold it for a moment,
And now exhale slowly,
Letting go of any tension or stress from the day.
And again,
Take another deep breath in,
Hold,
And exhale.
Now let your breath settle into a natural rhythm,
Inhaling and exhaling effortlessly,
As you let go of the outside world,
And turn your attention inwards.
Just relax,
Relax and breathe,
Releasing all tension and inviting tranquility into your being.
As you settle into this moment,
Imagine yourself in a peaceful garden at twilight.
The air is cool and fragrant,
Carrying the scent of blooming flowers.
The sky above is painted with hues of orange and purple,
Casting a soothing glow over the landscape.
You are enveloped in a cocoon of warm,
Golden light that feels like the soft embrace of a cherished friend.
And,
As you settle into this serene garden,
Picture a radiant ball of healing light above you,
Like a gentle sun.
With every breath,
This light descends,
Casting its luminous glow upon your head,
Gently warming your scalp and forehead.
Feel the weight of the day's worries melt away,
Replaced by a sense of calm.
Imagine the healing light flowing down your face,
Tracing the lines of your cheeks,
And encircling your eyes like a soft touch.
It smooths away any tension,
Leaving your eyes serene and unburdened.
As it moves,
It takes with it any stress from your neck and shoulders,
Noticing the gentle stream of warmth that cascades down.
As you journey down,
Envision the light bathing your chest in its ethereal glow.
It enters your heart,
Each beat resonating with tranquility.
Imagine the light spreading outward,
Gently unfurling the petals of a lotus within you.
As the light continues to flow,
It reaches your stomach and abdomen.
Picture it like the ebb and flow of a calm ocean tide,
Rhythmically massaging your internal space with each inhalation.
The light rises,
And with each exhalation,
It recedes,
Carrying away any knots or unease.
And now,
Sense the light reaching your hips and pelvis,
The light adjusting your posture and balance,
Inviting you to let go and find your center.
As the light travels further,
It bathes your legs and feet in its soothing brilliance.
Picture your feet connecting with the earth below,
Like the roots of a great tree,
Feeling the light seeping into your bones,
Soothing them,
Noticing how you feel anchored,
Safe,
And grounded.
As you bask in the radiant healing light,
Ponder over these questions.
What worries or concerns are you ready to release with your next breath?
What moments of gratitude can you summon from the tapestry of your day?
How might you carry this feeling of relaxation and serenity into tomorrow?
And now,
Gently,
Let your awareness trickle back into the room.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you,
And the gentle caress of the air around you.
Inhale deeply,
Grounding yourself in this present moment.
Take a few deep breaths,
Absorbing the gentle light that envelopes you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And open your eyes,
Carrying this serene energy with you into the rest of the evening.
