This short guided breathing practice supports us to take a centering breath to come home to the body breathing. A slightly deeper in breath and a slightly longer out breath, then back to natural breathing. A lovely practice to support a moment to pause and breathe, supporting presence and grounding in the body. This practice can be very soothing when we feel stressed or worried. Thank you for your ongoing practice to support ease and well being. Best wishes Lisa

So finding a comfortable posture where your breath can be natural and we're going to centre our awareness inside the body breathing.

So beginning by breathing in and out through your nose,

Whether you're sitting,

Standing or lying down.

So with the centering breath we're going to take a slow gentle breath in through the nose and a slow gentle breath out through the nose.

And then coming back to natural breathing.

Taking another centering breath,

A slow gentle breath in,

Feeling the lungs expand,

The rib cage expands and a slow gentle breath out releasing the air.

And then coming back to natural breathing.

Taking another centering breath,

Slow gentle breath in,

Filling the body with air,

A slow gentle breath out releasing,

Allowing.

Letting go.

Once again coming back to natural breathing.

So noticing how you're feeling now after taking a few breaths where you're centering your awareness inside the body breathing.

And then trying a centering breath yourself in your own time.

And coming back to natural breathing.

And notice how that feels to bring your attention closer to the sensations of the breath.

A moment to be aware of your inside world and how the breath can invite ease,

Particularly the out breath.

Remember you can do a centering breath anytime you need to in your day.
