Welcome to this brief time together.
This is a recording for those times you might be faced with a difficult situation.
Maybe you're obsessing in your head about something,
You're confused,
Don't know where to turn.
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Sigh it all out through your mouth.
Get comfortable,
Whether that's seated or laying down.
And know that no matter what,
Aside from your thoughts,
You are okay.
Again,
Aside from your thoughts,
You are okay.
Feel this peace start to settle in your body.
As your mind wanders,
Return to the breath.
Always rely on the breath.
Sometimes when our mind starts spinning,
It gets so crowded that we lose perspective.
We can't see the clarity,
We can't find the answer,
Because there's too much going on in there.
It feels like a pinball machine and you're just trying to keep everything together,
But it's all clacking and clicking in different directions and confusing things.
So as each thought comes,
Just for now,
Just in this space together,
Let it flow and let it go.
It's okay to recognize it,
But then just watch it float away,
Just like every other difficult thought you've had and continue to have.
That's just what our brains do.
There's nothing wrong with it.
That's why we engage in these practices to settle things down and return to that quiet space inside of us that does know what to do.
That inner wisdom that will always be there.
That place that operates based on love over fear.
That place that knows right from wrong.
Our true nature.
Soften your jaw,
Soften your face,
Anywhere in your body where you feel you're holding on to tension.
See if you can settle in just a little bit more.
As your body softens,
Feel your mind soften too.
Just let things slow down.
Loosen the grip a bit.
It's okay.
It's okay to release.
It's okay to let go.
Just come back to your breath in the present moment.
Know that you are okay.
Now that we've accessed this space,
Feeling a little bit more peaceful,
A little bit more clear,
Things are feeling easier and smoother,
Ask yourself this question.
You can say it out loud or in your head to yourself,
But ask,
How free do I want to be?
How free do I want to be?
How free do I want to be?
No matter what the situation,
That's something only you can decide.
You are the only one who can free yourself from this.
From this pain,
This doubt,
This confusion.
So what would it feel like to let yourself be a little bit more free?
Or entertain the idea of letting yourself be a little more free?
Just being willing to consider it is a huge step developing that awareness of your current space and the condition of your thoughts and your heart.
How free do you want to be?
Think about it a little bit longer.
Never let any ideas flow to you.
It's not something you necessarily think about in the conventional way.
It's more so seeing what comes up intuitively.
Seeing what flows to you.
Knowing that in any situation,
In any moment,
You can come back to your breath and ask yourself,
How free do I want to be?
And the answers will come.
Thank you so much for holding this space with me,
Showing up for yourself.
And I hope you enjoy your freedom.
