Welcome to this Yoga Nidra practice,
A gift of self-care to yourself,
Coming home to yourself,
A time for you to release and receive.
My name is Anne-Marie and I will be your guide today.
My invitation to you is to create a sacred space for your practice.
Dim the lights and anoint your body with your favourite essential oils and then lay down on the floor or your bed or on Mother Earth and make yourself comfortable.
Create your nest,
Place a pillow beneath your legs,
A cover over your body,
A mask over your eyes,
A pillow beneath your head,
Whatever you need to feel completely comfortable.
Then allow your legs to fall out to the side and place your hands by your side with palms facing up in the pose of Shavasana.
If this is not comfortable for you,
Please find a position that is comfortable to rest your body,
Tending to your needs at this moment so that you feel deeply nourished.
This is your Yoga Nidra practice so do whatever you need to ensure you feel completely comfortable and cocooned in your nest.
If you need to make any small adjustments,
Please do so now and then allow your body to sink into the surface beneath you.
If you need to move at any time,
Please do so.
This is your unique Yoga Nidra practice.
I am here to guide you as you follow my voice and allow it to become your voice.
Intentionally and lovingly release your body into the surface beneath you.
Sink deeply into the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth,
Connecting you to this present moment as the rhythm of her tender heartbeat matches the rhythm of your heartbeat.
Allow your body to become heavy as her arms embrace you in the most tender,
Intimate communion as your heart becomes light as you release all your burdens and offer them to Mother Earth to mind.
Guiding your attention to your breath,
Your beautiful breath,
Connecting you to your life force energy as you take a deep breath in through your nose and release that breath in a long sigh through your mouth.
Take two more breaths like this.
On your final out breath,
Allow your body to sink further into the warm,
Soft bosom of Mother Earth,
Feeling her support your body as you deepen your connection to her healing embrace,
Enveloping your whole body as you sink deeper.
Now bring your awareness to the centre of your chest,
Your heart chakra,
The centre where your heart and lungs connect.
Breathe deeply into this chakra,
Feeling a sense of love and compassion as you imagine a beautiful green meadow grow over this whole space of your heart centre.

You can let it go.
Plant your seed intentionally in the nourishing soil of the earth beneath you,
Like the entire oak tree residing in the acorn.
Your entire being resides in this seed,

Now bring your awareness to the centre of your forehead,
The whole forehead,

Now we are going to journey through your body.
As I guide you,

The tip of your right middle finger,

Now bring your awareness to your root chakra,
The centre of your pelvic floor,
Your vulva,
Imagining the colour of a rich red rose opening to full bloom and blossoming all over this space in your body.
Breathe the colour all the way down into your root,
Feeling the warmth of the colour embracing your vulva and pelvic floor.
Then move from your root chakra to your sacral chakra,
Where your ovaries and womb area are located.
Imagine a vibrant orange colour illuminating this chakra,
The colour of an orange as you peel back the skin and reveal the juicy segments of fruit,
Each segment bringing your creative juices alive.
Breathe the colour all the way down into your sacral chakra,
Feeling the vibrancy envelop your womb centre.
As you move your awareness from your sacral chakra to your solar plexus,
Located at the pit of your gut,
The bright sunshine yellow of the sun is the colour to imagine,
Lighting up that chakra,
The heat of the sun sparking your chakra into life.
Breathe the colour all the way down into your solar plexus,
Feeling the sunshine heat up your solar plexus,
Your centre of power.
As you send your attention from your solar plexus to your heart chakra,
Your breastbone,
This centre governs your heart and lungs,
Your life force,
The colour to imagine as green,
The green of a beautiful meadow,
The healing mother earth energy.
Breathe the colour all the way into your heart chakra,
Feeling the nurturing healing energy enveloping your heart.
As you slowly move your awareness to your throat chakra,
The centre that governs your thyroid and salivary glands,
The colour to imagine as turquoise,
The calm peaceful colour of the tropical sea.
Breathe the colour all the way into your throat chakra,
Feeling the natural flow caressing your throat centre.
As you move your awareness from your throat to your third eye,
Located between the back of your throat and the back of your head,
This governs the pineal gland,
The sacred gland,
The colour to imagine is deep indigo blue,
The sky is nice,
The deepest darkest blue.
Breathe the colour all the way into your third eye chakra,
Feeling the peace within the shadows and the deep magic there.
Now move your awareness to your crown chakra,
Located at the centre of your head,
Which includes your pituitary gland,
The master gland,
Which creates harmony in a downward cascade to each of your chakras.
Imagine the colour violet,
Like the full moon shining down on your crown,
Connecting you to source.
Breathe the colour all the way up to your crown chakra,
Feeling the vision of the violet flame open your crown to a deeper space of knowing,
Connecting you with the infinite possibilities of the universe.
Now experience the body as whole again,
With all your chakras aligned and flowing in perfect symmetry,
Connecting you to Mother Earth,
Father Sky,
Grandmother Moon and Grandfather Sun.
Deep connection to the universe.
As you gently breathe back into your expansive heart centre,
The centre of your being,
The place where your three upper chakras,
Your crown,
Third eye and throat centre and your three lower chakras,
Root,
Sacral and solar plexus meet,
Aligning you to the wisdom in your all knowing heart.
The heart centre connecting you with the heart of Mother Earth and her pulsing energy expanding and contracting beneath you as you feel your heart expanding and contracting in unison with Mother Earth.
As you inhale the earth expands and as you exhale the earth contracts,
Rooting you deeper into the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth.
Now experience your whole body again,
Your whole body,
Your whole body.
Now awaken warmth in your body from the centre of your solar plexus,
The fire of the sun within your body as you feel that warmth spread to each chakra in your body,
Warming every cell,
Organ as well as your blood stream.
Come back to your heart centre.
Now awaken cold energy as your body feels the warmth dim from your solar plexus and the sun sets and the cold of the night envelops your body as you feel the warmth move to cold and the whole body becomes cold.
Come back to your heart centre.
Now bring the warmth back into your body,
Embracing you once more as you bring both together,
Holding in warmth and cold day and night as you move gently back to your heart centre and bring your awareness back to the wholeness of your body,
The earth.
Your whole body from root to crown,
Crown to root,
Infinite wholeness held by Mother Earth.
Keeping that image imprinted in your heart,
Your infinite wholeness enveloped by the bosom of Mother Earth as you feel your body and her infinite wholeness totally balanced and aligned.
Move your awareness to your brow centre,
The space between your eyebrows,
Your third eye centre where you visualise your body melting into the womb of Mother Earth.
The pulse of her heart beat,
Beating in tune with your heartbeat,
Bringing a deep calmness with each pulse,
Her arms wrapping around you,
Keeping you close in a cocoon of nurturing love,
The roots of the earth becoming your arms and your legs,
The heart of the earth becoming your heart as you root deeper into the earth,
Smelling the earthy soil as your roots stay firmly in the earth and your body unfurls from the cocoon and emerges as the most magnificent butterfly.
Your wings the full spectrum of colours as you flitter above the earth in a meadow of the most luscious green grass and wild flowers,
The fragrance emanating as you land on a wild rose bush to taste the nectar and linger among the petals for a while until you spread your wings and flutter across the meadow to a forest of oak trees,
Strong rooted oak trees and you land on an acorn which releases as soon as you land and falls to the ground as you find yourself floating on the acorn as it tumbles and as you boat land the ground becomes the sea and you find yourself drifting with the acorn on the sea,
Bouncing on the waves as the acorn disappears and you become a tropical rainbow fish and dive deep into the depths of the sea as it turns from turquoise to a deep dark indigo blue and turns into the sky at night you find yourself flying once more as a butterfly in the dark of night all the way up to the moon,
Brand mother moon welcoming you into her violet light as she takes you in her arms and moves gently from the sky to the earth and places you once more in the nurturing embrace of mother earth where you nestle into her bosom and cocoon once more you rest here after your beautiful journey and enter a state of blissful sleep as you settle your heart on the divine essence of mother earth the divine presence and spacious awareness that brings you beyond the material world into who you truly are a divine being at one with the universe so so so so as you slowly awaken in your blissful state your sankalpa emerges again for you to offer to mother earth as gratitude for her care and compassion and love as you repeat it three times the practice of yoga nidra is now complete gently very gently and tenderly bring some movement to your body move your fingers wiggle your toes stretch your body if that feels good then slowly move to your favorite side of your body and curl into the fetal position and stay there for a moment and set an intention for yourself to practice self-care and compassion to ensure you fill your cup up every day you are a divine being of the universe and you deserve sacred time for yourself thank you for taking the time to practice with me today hurry on so so so
