Welcome to this guided sleep induction meditation.
You are here to rest,
You are here to let go.
It's time to allow your body and mind to gently shift into a deep and natural sleep now.
This practice has been carefully designed for you using science-backed techniques to support that process.
We'll be using the Cholla's method.
It's a sleep induction technique that mirrors the brain's natural descent into sleep stages through guided progressive imagery.
You'll also be hearing binaural beats.
These are sound frequencies played in each ear at slightly different pitches which helps your brain to shift into a more relaxed state by encouraging theta and delta brainwave activity and visualization-based relaxation proven to lower your stress hormone cortisol and promote a sense of safety and calm perfect for easing you into sleep.
Now don't worry,
You don't need to remember any of that.
Just know that each part of what's to follow has been created for you with intention and your only job is to follow my voice and allow yourself to drift.
So now if you haven't already,
Gently close your eyes,
Take a slow deep breath in and let it go.
Again inhale softly and exhale softly.
You're allowing your body to sink a little deeper with each breath and starting to notice the gentle rhythm of your breath,
The rise of your chest and the fall.
There's no need to change anything,
Just allow your body to find its natural relaxed state.
And now keeping your eyes closed and staying in this peaceful state,
I'd like you to visualize your surroundings,
Seeing yourself in your bed and picturing yourself lying there at ease.
And see yourself gently rising now from your bed,
Still calm,
Still safe,
Still deeply relaxed.
You walk slowly towards your front door and open it and there you see something that you haven't before,
Softly glowing,
Warm and inviting.
The doors of the elevator open and you step inside and you immediately feel overcome with peace and a sense of safety.
You look to the wall of the elevator and you see a sign,
Your journey to sleep.
And you notice a soft light above you and the air feels like a gentle embrace.
Now on the opposite wall you see a panel of buttons numbered from 10 to 1.
And you intuitively know that each number down represents a deeper level of calm,
A deeper level of sleep.
And as we begin the descent,
Just noticing how at ease you feel.
You press the number 1 and you see the number 10 light up.
This is the level you are on now.
The elevator begins to hum softly and you feel it moving gently downward.
You feel your body relax even more.
Your breath is slow and your thoughts begin to blur,
Just like ripples fading out on still water.
You are safe,
You are warm.
With each moment you feel your body becoming heavier and your mind becoming quieter.
Anything leading up to this moment is dissolving now and only the stillness that you have created remains.
With each breath you take you are being cradled by sleep.
Halfway there,
Drifting,
Floating,
Surrendering to this moment.
Feeling a softness in your chest,
A warmth in your belly.
Your mind and your body are working together now.
In perfect rhythm,
Preparing you for rest.
There is nothing you need to do now.
The elevator has stopped and you feel yourself in anticipation for what is on the other side.
But you know that it will be beautiful.
The doors begin to open slowly now.
And in front of you is the most beautiful,
Most peaceful sight you have ever seen.
A place of total peace,
A place of deep rest.
And whatever you see,
Trust it and let your vision unfold.
And beginning to notice the finer details of what's around you now.
Are you somewhere in nature?
Is it night or is it day?
Notice any sounds you hear.
Notice the colors you see.
And as you feel the gentle breath of the warm breeze touch your skin,
Become aware of any other sensations that you feel.
And as you stare into the distance of this dreamscape,
Your eyes lock onto the side of a bed.
You immediately feel drawn to get into this bed so you start to make your way over to it.
And as you draw closer you notice the finer details and pay attention to these.
And as you come up to the bed,
Reach out and touch the sheets.
And you're immediately overcome with just how soft they feel.
And you can't help but get inside,
Slipping under the covers and you've never felt more comfort.
You've never felt more like you're floating on a cloud.
And let your body completely relax and melt into this bed.
And take as long as you need to enjoy this place of peace that you have created.
And allow this bed to carry you to the most deep,
Most restorative sleep that you deserve.
