
Grounding Energy Meditation
Sometimes we can take on unwanted energy and emotions, which can be draining and distressing. Resplenish your energy field by listening to this relaxing meditation developed to rid you of unwanted emotions and reenergize you.
Transcript
Welcome to this grounding meditation.
Through our interactions with others,
We can unconsciously absorb and exchange energy.
This can include sometimes taking on the anger,
Anxiety,
Or sadness of others.
This meditation serves to help us rid ourselves of unwanted energy that does not serve us and refill ourselves with a chosen,
Healthy,
And life-generating energy.
Because this is a grounding meditation,
It's important that you sit on a chair with your feet planted on the ground and your back straight and relaxed.
Breathe in,
And as you're breathing out,
Relax your shoulders.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
And as you're breathing out,
Relax your jaw.
Relax your neck,
Relax your shoulders even more.
Relax your arms and relax your hands.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Relaxing your abdomen,
Relaxing your hips,
Relaxing your legs,
Relaxing your feet.
Feel a heaviness in the soles of your feet as they rest on the ground.
Clear your mind.
Continue to breathe in and breathe out.
Carefully surrender your body to the feeling of relaxation that you've just nurtured.
In this state of total and complete relaxation,
Imagine that roots gently begin to poke out of the soles of your feet,
Just like tree roots emerge from the base of its trunk.
Imagine that these roots push into and through the floor,
And then continue into the earth below.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Completely surrendered to relaxation.
Imagine your roots growing even deeper and spreading into rich,
Black,
And fertile soil,
And even further reaching into the many layers of the earth's crust,
And even deeper,
Towards its center.
In this deeply grounded and relaxed state,
Ask yourself,
What type of energy do I want to bring forth and then share with the world today?
Perhaps it is a peaceful energy or a calm one.
Perhaps it is a joyous or a playful energy.
Perhaps it is loving.
Perhaps it is patient.
Perhaps it is a healing energy or a strong energy.
Choose whatever energy you believe will serve you best today.
Now,
Deeply rooted,
Relaxed,
And focusing on your energy,
Ask yourself,
What color is this energy that I'm bringing into the world today?
Once you have chosen your color,
Imagine this energy as a glowing,
Colorful ball suspended in front of you,
Spreading its rays towards your face.
Now,
Take that glowing,
Colorful energy and move it down to the ground,
And let it be absorbed by the earth.
Imagine the floor that your feet are resting on,
And the earth that your roots are planted in are all glowing with your color,
With your chosen energy.
Next,
Imagine that beautiful colored energy entering your root system and starting to travel upwards,
Coloring your roots as it goes.
In your mind,
See it color all of your roots and then enter your feet.
Next,
Fill up your feet with that colored energy,
And once they are full,
See your energy continue to travel up through your calves and into your thighs,
Filling them both up before pouring into your hips,
Into your buttocks,
Filling these up as well,
And then finding the base of your spine.
Now,
See this energy traveling up your spine,
Finding and filling your torso,
Filling your lungs,
Filling your heart.
Now it's continuing up your spine,
Filling your throat and your head.
Your entire body is aglow with your beautiful energy.
Now,
See that energy begin to spill out of the top of your head like a gentle,
Warm fountain.
Feel the entire journey that this energy is taking,
Entering your root system,
Flowing up through your body and out the top of your head.
Next,
See this energy begin to fall around the outside of your body as well,
Coating your skin and enveloping it with a radiant,
Gentle,
Warm bath.
Now,
Imagine that your entire body is encircled with a beautiful,
Oval energy field,
And as your colorful energy bath reaches your feet,
See it begin to fill up your oval field,
Which is a safe container for you.
Picture it filling up with your colored energy.
As you sit,
Alert yet relaxed,
Seeing your energy entering your body through your feet,
Flowing through your body and outside of it,
Spilling over your skin and filling up your energy field with your intended energy and color.
Imagine any other energy that you were holding onto slowly being pushed out so that it's outside of your energy field.
Now,
Imagine your filled,
Oval energy field glowing solely with your intended energy.
See it forming a beautiful,
Radiant,
Protective,
Oval-shaped field around your body.
Remember,
When you're aware of your energy field,
No one can invade it without your permission.
And you don't have to give any of this energy away unless you wish to do so.
As you go about your day,
Revisit your energy field and ensure that it is still there,
Glowing with your chosen energy.
You can keep this energy to yourself,
Or you can share it with others if you wish.
And if you do share it,
You can replenish it at any time by pulling more energy up through your root system,
Or by revisiting this meditation.
Now,
It's time to open your eyes.
Feel yourself glowing,
Radiant,
And grounded in your own chosen light and energy.

Wow -- so perfect for a midday boost! By early afternoon, I'm often running out of steam and feeling bad about all the things on my list I haven't accomplished, forgetting about all the things I *have* done. This is an especially tough struggle for anyone with a chronic illness or disease. Thank you for this meditation that helps us remember to be nicer to ourselves, to replenish/preserve our energy and not take on negativity (our own or anyone else's!).
