During this time of limited social interaction,
The less busy lifestyle that we are experiencing can be used to help us become more reflective and remind us of some of our blessings.
This guided meditation will offer you some questions,
Followed by a space of time for you to reflect on the answers.
So please ensure that you are comfortably seated.
Are you relaxed?
Lovely.
Let's do a little breath work.
Breathe in through your nose for three.
One,
Two,
Three.
And out through your mouth for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Continue to do this for about five more times while you listen to me talking.
Allow your shoulders to relax a little more each time you exhale.
Now place one hand on your heart while you reflect on the following questions.
What things can my body do where I am right now that I appreciate?
What personal challenges do I currently have that will further enrich my life once they are in my past?
What have I accomplished during this time that I am proud of?
Celebrate the small and the big things.
Who has helped me achieve these accomplishments?
Who has helped me gain any knowledge that I have received regarding how to cope during this pandemic?
What wisdom do I have about my situation that I am grateful to possess?
What are some sacrifices that I appreciate community members are making right now that are making my life better?
What valued life lessons have I learned from others that are helping me to stay healthy and positive in my circumstances?
Who are some people in my social circle that I really appreciate right now?
What are some things about my home that I appreciate?
What are some other things that I own that I just love?
What is something happening today in my life that I am grateful for?
What are some aspects of nature that I just love?
What freedoms do I have right now?
Now shift your focus inward and notice how you are feeling.
Give this feeling a name.
Allow it to travel the entirety of your physical body.
Imagine it gently expanding within your body and as you are breathing softly,
Shifting to include outside of your body until this feeling is fully resonating inside and outside of you.
Picture yourself going about your day holding onto this feeling and reflecting upon it until your head is on your pillow at bedtime tonight.
Now open your eyes.
May your day be filled with both grace and gratitude.
Namaste my friend.
