Welcome.
This meditation is an invitation to release the future from the grip of the anxious mind.
So often,
When we feel uncertain,
We begin to circle the same thoughts again and again.
We replay conversations,
Imagine outcomes,
Look for signs,
And try to solve what has not yet unfolded.
This can feel like problem solving.
You.
But often it leaves us more tense,
More attached,
And further away from the present moment.
In this practice,
You will be guided to gently notice what you may be trying to control,
What part of the situation is truly yours to act on.
And what part may need to be released into wiser timing.
This is not about becoming passive or giving up the responsibility.
It is about learning to take the next honest step while allowing God,
Life,
Or the wisdom greater than the thinking mind to hold what you cannot control.
You do not need to see the whole path.
You only need enough light.
For the next step.
Allow your eyes to close.
Take a slope that in.
And release it gently.
Once again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Feel the support beneath you.
Let the weight of the body be held.
You do not need to hold yourself up so tightly.
You do not need to hold the future together.
For these moments.
Let yourself be supported.
Now imagine that you are standing.
In a quiet,
Open landscape at twilight.
The sky is spacious.
The air is still.
In front of you is a long path.
You can see the beginning of it.
But not where the 10.
Notice what happens when you cannot see the whole path.
Perhaps the mind wants to know.
Where does it go?
How long will it take?
Will I be saved?
Will I succeed?
Simply notice.
Now become aware that you are carrying a bag.
Inside this bag are all the things you have been trying to solve in advance.
The answers you need.
The outcomes you want,
The conversations you play.
The messages you check,
The plans you devise,
The timelines you monitor.
Feel the weight of the bag.
Notice how long you have been carrying it.
And now.
Gently place it on the ground.
You are not abandoning your life.
You are only putting down what was never meant to be carried all at once.
Take up the bat.
Notice the difference.
Now open the bag and take out one concern.
Just one.
Hold it in your hands.
It may appear as an object,
A word,
A picture,
Or simply a felt sense.
Notice what you have been trying to control.
And silently ask.
What part of this is mine?
What part of this is fine?
Perhaps there is one action,
One truth.
One conversation,
One page,
One decision,
One boundary.
Let that become clear.
And now ask.
What part is not mind to control?
What part is not mine to control?
The response of another person.
The diamond.
The final outcome,
The way the path unfolds.
What part is not mine to control?
Notice the difference between Action and Control.
Now imagine placing everything that is not yours to control into a gentle stream of light.
You may call this light God.
Or lie.
Or higher wisdom,
Or the universe,
Or simply the unknown.
Watch as the concern is held by something larger than your own mind.
And say inwardly.
I release what I cannot control.
Once again,
I release what I cannot control.
Take up that.
Now turn toward the path.
You still cannot see the whole way.
But a small lantern appears in your hand.
It does not light the entire journey.
It illuminates only the next few steps.
Notice that this is enough.
You do not need light for the whole path.
You need light for the step you are taking now.
And gently ask.
What is my next honest step?
What is my next honest step?
Let the answer come.
Let the answer come,
No matter how small.
Now see yourself taking that step.
Slowly.
Steadily.
Without forcing.
The light moves with you.
The path reveals itself as you walk.
And with each step.
Repeat.
I act.
On what is mine.
By the lees.
What is not?
I trust the next step.
I trust.
The timing of my unfolding.
Continue walking the path for the few moments.
Nodash?
No demand to arrive.
Just movement.
Guidance.
Participation Trash.
Now pause on the path.
Look up at the spacious sky.
And imagine that all the pieces you cannot yet see are quietly moving.
People Circumstances Lessons Resources.
Timing,
Possibilities,
You do not need to organize them all.
You do not need to understand them all.
Let yourself consider.
Perhaps more is unfolding than I can presently see.
Take a slope there.
Place one hand over the heart if that feels comfortable.
And silently that be.
I do not need certainty.
To be supported.
I do not need control.
To take action.
I can move.
At a gentle.
Steady base.
I can trust.
What is unfolding?
I am willing.
To be guided.
Rest here.
Let the body receive the words.
Let the mind become quieter.
Let the future they mean open.
Now allow the path The Lantern and the open sky to gently fade.
They turn to the body.
To the bread.
To the loo.
Feel the support beneath you.
Bring movement into the fingers,
Into the toes.
And when you are ready.
Softly open your eyes.
And remember that you do not need to solve the whole future today.
You only need to return to what is yours.
The next honest step.
The next clear action.
The next moment of trust.
May you release what is not yours to control.
May you act with steadiness where action is needed.
And may you trust that life is still unfolding.
Even when you cannot yet see the whole path.
Thank you for being here.
And may you move through the coming day,
The coming week.
With greater peace,
Patience and trust.
