
Deep Sleep Relaxation

This is a meditation best done laying down so you can easily transition into sleep. We move through the body, relaxing every body part, making sure you don't bring any of the stress from the day into night time. Enjoy a deep peaceful sleep with a warm heart.
Transcript
Welcome everyone.
My name is Leo from Restorative Hypnosis and tonight I am going to guide you into a beautiful,
Relaxed place so that you can have a deep and restful sleep.
Also take a few moments to get your pillows right to breathe and move in any way that you need to to let your body rest.
When you are ready,
Take a nice deep breath in through the nose and a long slow release out of the mouth,
Closing your eyes.
As you close your eyes,
I want you to move your awareness from the outside and just slowly work your way inside.
Notice the light flickering in your eyes,
The temperature on your skin,
The weight of your body on the pillows or your bed or wherever you are laying,
And then slowly inch your way from the outside to the inside.
As you do that,
Just notice your whole entire body.
If you came inside of the body and went directly to the mind,
Just notice that for a moment.
And now move your awareness to encompassing the whole entire body,
Your whole system.
If there are parts of your body that you cannot scan or access today,
That's fine.
That's for another day.
Just let it be.
I want you to imagine that your breaths are like a wave on the ocean.
And as you exhale those waves,
Send surges,
Calm movements of relaxation through your whole entire body,
Trickling from the top of your head down through your face,
Your neck,
Sending waves and waves of relaxation down your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your wrists,
Your hands and every single finger,
Feeling those waves of relaxation now.
Exhale all the weight off of your chest,
Everything that you've been carrying,
The heaviness of your life,
The heaviness of those around you,
The heaviness of the nudes.
Wash away with your breaths anything that you don't need to carry anymore.
It's not your weight to carry.
You can't help anyone with this weight on you,
So feel that release now.
And just breathe any stress away from your body.
Any racing thoughts,
Let them just melt away.
Come back to the rise and fall of your chest.
Send those waves of relaxation down through the abdomen,
All of the organs,
The hips,
The thighs,
The knees,
The calves,
The ankles,
Your feet,
And I want you to feel every single toe relaxing and even the space in between your toes.
I want you to send a message to your body that it's time now to let go.
This is your moment to fully release.
Don't take any stress from your day,
From any interactions,
From anything you read or observed.
You don't need it in sleep,
So let that go.
The best way to have deep,
Nourishing sleep is to go to bed with a lightness in your heart,
A sense of self-compassion.
Imagine that compassion is like a little fire,
Burning little branches and leaves,
Listening to the sound of the crackling fire,
Taking you even deeper into a beautiful,
Warm feeling inside of yourself.
No one or nothing outside of you can give you this warmth of compassion.
It's your permission slip to write.
So see if you can offer that to yourself now.
See if your heart can lift even for a moment,
Even for one heartbeat,
One flutter,
And you'll notice the more you do this,
The warmer the fire gets,
The cozier you become,
The more comfortable in your skin you are.
And when you can be,
Just be inside of yourself with some sense of peace.
You will easily drift into sleep.
Noticing now any parts of your body that don't want to drift into sleep,
There's no need to fight that.
Simply move that warmth of self-compassion that's in your heart to that area in your body.
See if you can offer your shoulders some warmth and comfort.
See if you can release your jaw,
Your temples,
Allow all the muscles in the face to begin releasing all the stress of your day.
Allow the tongue to move away from the roof of your mouth and let everything settle.
Feeling that warmth even nicer now,
Feeling like there's a cocoon of Mother Earth energy all around you,
Guiding you,
Supporting you as you move even deeper into a beautiful,
Restful place.
Feeling you that there's nothing to do right now,
There's nowhere that you have to be,
There's nothing that has to get done,
Except simply relax even more with every single breath.
And the more that you breathe,
The deeper you go,
And the more those muscles can unwind and warm up and just lay heavy in your bed.
Isn't it so nice to have nothing to do for a while,
Nothing to run off and chase,
Just you in this moment drifting deeper into yourself,
Into the beauty of incredible night sleep.
Scan your body one final time for any part of you that could use a little more warmth,
A little more comfort,
A little more of that Mother Earth cocoon that's all around you,
Supporting you to have a nourishing night sleep.
Everything is on your side,
Everything would like you to rest,
Your body would love to rest right now.
Your mind knows how to unplug from your day,
Just like all the animals do,
And your spirit is transforming,
Changing shape and color and form,
Preparing for a beautiful inner journey tonight.
As this comes to a close,
Just connect back with that warmth in your heart,
That little campfire that always lives within you,
A place you can always return to anytime you need a little bit more warmth in your life.
It's there for you.
