Time To Just Be
by Leo Max
This is a simple journey of mindful awareness. A scared pause from everything else happening in the world. It's a time to unwind and be in our own essence underneath all of the other layers put on top.

Welcome everyone.
Today we're gonna go on a little journey into our own selves and to have some time to just be.
It's a time to put away everything else happening in your world and have some time for yourself.
So make your space really comfy,
Really cozy and take a few deep breaths,
Getting settled,
Really setting the intention that this is your special time and also acknowledge that you made it.
You carved out this time for yourself and that is something that you should be proud of.
First notice what your breathing is like right now.
Notice where you are breathing from and wherever your breath has been naturally going.
See if you can take a few breaths into the low belly.
Breathing from this place is a way that we can communicate to our own biological system in a language that it understands.
When we are stressed our breathing tends to go higher into the chest and shorter.
So by reversing that and breathing from the low belly in an intentional slow rhythm you're saying to your own self it's safe to be in this moment.
You do not have to totally believe those statements right now.
Just send the breath there and notice what happens.
Once you feel things have slowed down,
How your body has settled a bit more,
You can take any breath that's comfortable for you and just notice whatever is happening inside of you.
Becoming aware with no specific goal in mind.
There's nothing we have to do,
Nowhere to go.
Notice if you're able to receive rest and if slowing down is difficult for you,
That's okay too.
Can you give yourself one inhale that is filled with compassion?
Can you send that inhale to every cell inside of you like a warm hug from the inside out?
And if you can receive this rest,
If you are able to feel it deep in your bones and your muscles,
See how much of it you can actually absorb.
What needs to happen for you to take in even more rest,
Even more of your own nourishment.
Maybe your shoulders need to drop a little bit,
Maybe your jaw can unclench,
Maybe the pressure in the temples can lighten or maybe you just need to be a little bit kinder to yourself.
You're doing a great job.
We live in this place that is so easy to feel like we're behind,
Like we're not where we're supposed to be.
Just for one moment,
Could you put those thoughts in a nice box,
Maybe lock it or put a pretty bow on it.
Put all those thoughts in that box,
Put a lid on it and just move them to the side,
Not having any frustration,
Not blaming them,
Just giving them somewhere else to be for a little bit,
So you can have more of this time with your own essence.
And as you feel more of your own essence,
Notice what that feels like.
It might be very subtle,
Noticing what is the energy ill.
When there's no racing thoughts,
There's nothing to do.
Who am I underneath those layers?
You might notice a glimmer of joy wanting to be seen in your heart.
You might feel a certain sense of truth or authenticity.
You might just feel like you without any description at all.
Anything is welcome.
Who are you when there's nothing to do,
Nowhere to go,
No problems to solve.
A question can strike fear or worry just hearing it.
I invite you to find a moment of welcoming any of those emotions in,
Letting them come to the table,
Give them their time.
On the next breath,
See if they're ready to wash away like a wave on shore.
Who are you when there's nowhere to go,
Nothing you have to do,
Nowhere to be,
When there's no problem that needs to be solved right now.
Going a little bit deeper into your essence.
And if you feel any of your essence,
I invite you to bathe in it,
To play,
To roll around,
To celebrate even having a glimmer of your own truth.
And if you don't notice much at all,
Can you find acceptance for that too?
But maybe not everything is a big revelation.
Sometimes it's the teeny tiny steps built up over time.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
If you left and went somewhere else,
Just feel the rise and fall of your breathing.
Gently bringing your awareness back to breath,
Letting it be your anchor.
As you feel into the layers of who you are,
You might feel endless space,
Quiet peace,
Or simply this noticing,
This feeling like you're just more present.
All of these have a subtle quality to them and we're just becoming curious.
Whatever you're noticing right now,
I'd like you to ask the question,
How can I bring this feeling a little bit more into my regular life moving forward?
What can I do to experience more peace,
More presence,
More authenticity in my world?
Just see whatever comes.
Whatever you're noticing let all of that go.
Take a deep breath and just clear your field,
Clear your screen,
And just come back to your breath.
You've done something absolutely wonderful for yourself today.
You've carved out special time just for you.
You dove into the deeper subtle layers inside of you and that's something special.
Make any final adjustments as we slowly come to a close.
You might say a thank you to yourself or spread love in all directions.
I will leave the music on a little while longer.
You can take your time.
Closing for today and I hope you enjoy.

Beyond terrific. Revelatory. Incredibly gentle. This is a transcendent offering from an authentic βbeing of lightβ (insofar as this has a generally understood meaning). Hoping to repeat often and go deeper. (Oh, and the choices of music and sound design on these tracks are something to behold. Brilliant.)
