How does the air feel on your skin right now?

Is there a faint scent in the morning air?

Take this moment to notice.

Today is a new beginning and this meditation will help you feel lighter,

More present and ready to move through your day with ease and joy.

I invite you to find a comfortable position and allow your body to relax while your mind stays alert.

Place one hand gently on your heart and the other on your belly.

Feel the gentle rise and fall beneath your hands.

Now take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs fully.

Imagine the air fresh,

Clean and energetic.

And on the exhale,

Allow the groggy heaviness of sleep float away.

Now inhale deeply again,

Imagining a soft,

Warm light entering every cell.

Exhale fully,

Softening your shoulders,

Jaw and sinking into the support beneath you.

One more deep breath in,

Filling your body with vitality and ease.

Exhaling completely,

Letting go.

Now return to your natural breath.

Feel its rhythm,

Steady,

Calm,

Grounding.

Bring your attention to your feet.

Feel their contact with the floor or the surface beneath you.

Flex your toes and then point them gently.

Wiggle your fingers slowly.

Bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and your seat.

Notice the simple sensation of pressure where you're being held.

Feel the weight of your body sinking down,

Supported by the surface under you.

Just observe this connection,

This feeling of being grounded in the present moment.

Roll your shoulders softly back and down,

Melting them away from your ears,

Creating space.

Stretch your arms slowly overhead if it feels good,

And then lower them slowly,

Gently back to your side.

Feel the warmth of the morning light on your skin,

And begin to visualize your morning routine.

Imagine a current of calm energy guiding you through the first moments of your day.

You breathe in the rich,

Comforting scent of your morning brew,

Letting it gently awaken your senses.

As you settle at the kitchen table,

Mug in hand,

You notice the subtle symphony of the morning,

The gentle hum of your home,

The first bird song,

Or the train whistling by.

And as the first morning light filters through your window,

You observe how it paints your room,

Bringing each detail gently into focus.

Filling your space with clarity and possibility.

And you sense a quiet readiness within your body,

A feeling of potential for the day ahead.

Affirm quietly or in your mind,

I step into the day with lightness and ease.

Bring your attention to the sounds around you.

Listen without judgment,

Simply noticing what's present.

Perhaps it's the birds greeting the morning,

Or the distant hum of traffic,

Or a soft whir of appliance within your home.

Each sound becomes part of this quiet moment of awareness.

Now feel the air brushing your skin,

Cool or warm,

Light or still.

Notice how it gently wraps around you,

Connecting you to the space you're in.

Bring awareness to the subtle taste in your mouth,

Maybe neutral,

Fresh,

Faintly sweet.

Let this simple observation anchor you in your senses.

Turn inward to feel the calm,

Steady rhythm of your breath.

There's no need to change or control it.

Simply follow its rise and fall,

Like gentle waves moving in and out.

As you breathe,

Allow these words to form softly,

Either as a whisper or in the silence of your mind.

Joy fills my body and mind.

Pause for a moment and feel the truth of these words settling into your heart.

Now place your hands again on your heart and belly.

Breathe deeply and feel the connection within.

Let's set an intention for the day.

Repeat softly,

I am present,

I am energized,

I am grateful.

Allow this intention to root you in this moment and guide you through your day.

And as you're ready,

Gently float your eyes open.

Look around with soft focus.

Notice the shapes,

The colors,

The textures of your surrounding as if you're seeing them for the first time with the wonder of a child.

Feel the chair or the floor beneath you and thank you for its stability and support.

Take a deep breath in,

Curl your lips into a soft smile,

And sigh out a long,

Satisfying exhale.

And before you move into your day,

Hold this question softly in your mind.

What small moment of joy will I create or notice today?

This simple question can be your companion throughout your day.

If you'd like,

Journal or free write whatever comes up around the question.

Let's move through the morning with ease together.
