In this meditation you will need to be in a seated position making your way there if you're not already closing off your eyes Resting your hands wherever is comfortable perhaps on the knees We're going to use our breath here to help relieve any stress that you've been building up When you're ready For an inhale to roar the spine really tall Exhale out through the mouth here Beautiful big sigh breathing in finding length through the crown chakra Exhale through the mouth One more big slow breath make it even longer Hold it at the top this time as you exhale soften the shoulders down Then find your breath through the nose on the inhale and exhale Taking a mouthful sigh anytime you need to take a little extra stress out of your body and mind Know that we are just coming back to a nostril breath Visualize now tension in your neck and shoulders that may already be there See if you can put a color to this tension whether it be an energetic field or maybe the color of your muscles Maybe it's a shadow really try and visualize here get creative Notice the sides of the neck the back of the neck The muscles that trace from the side of the neck along the top of the shoulder Nice and close towards your actual shoulders To the back of the upper body above the shoulder blades Towards the center of the spine Can you feel or notice any muscular tension there If you can,
I want you to visualize that tension as that energy or color Every breath that you take you breathe in awareness first And then you breathe it into your lungs and out of your body Visualize it physically leaving you Breathing in awareness,
Breathing out the tension Feel the shoulders soften with every exhale you take Do that several times now And a natural breath rhythm no effort needed at all And silently or aloud affirm to yourself these following words I allow my body to release tension I acknowledge any tension within I allow my body to release tension You can repeat these affirmations to yourself or create your own Everyone is unique and beautifully different Everyone holds things slightly differently Ask yourself now where do I hold my tension,
My stressful tension Sit in my jaw,
If it is relax the jaw Behind the ears,
In the neck,
The top of the shoulders Through the back,
In between the shoulder blade area Maybe you feel it elsewhere,
These are just some key points as to where we often store stressful tension Let's do one more round of those thigh full breath When you are ready,
Breathe in awareness of where it might be,
Whether it be in your mind or physically Side out through the mouth,
Soften the shoulders again Two more breaths,
Breathe in Let it go One more big breath,
The biggest one of your day Let it go slowly Come back to your regular breath I hope you feel a little less stressed Please know that stress stems from the mind We create it ourselves,
It doesn't come from an external source Certain things trigger our stress,
But our mind is what creates it So if we can become aware of the stress that we are creating within ourselves We can also learn to let it go It's all about acknowledging where,
How and why,
Taking the steps to just let it go Thank you so much Namaste
