Welcome to today's meditation.
Thank you for joining me and give yourself some thanks for taking this time to take care of you.
For today's meditation,
We're going to focus on loving ourselves.
We are going to fill ourselves up with so much self-love and our goal is to take that self-love with us throughout our day,
Week,
Month and for as long as we can.
And if there is a moment where you feel your self-love cup start to empty,
Come back to this meditation and fill it right back up.
We will start this meditation with our eyes softly closed and your hands placed either on your heart or in your lap.
Wherever you feel the most comfortable,
Just make sure that you have some contact with your body.
Imagine yourself in a place where you feel completely at ease.
This might be a favorite place you have been,
Somewhere you have seen or it might be completely made up.
Picture this place where you feel happy,
Calm and safe.
Let yourself be fully present.
Now,
Bring awareness to your breath.
If your hands are on your heart,
Feel your heartbeat.
Notice the rhythm of your heartbeat.
Ah,
That beautiful heartbeat,
A reminder that you have so much love within you.
Let's take a deep inhale filling up your belly.
Exhale letting it go.
Think of that one thing that you love about yourself.
Inhale that feeling of love and exhale that love back out into the world.
Try to think of your body,
Every inch of it,
Your cells,
Your organs,
Everything about your body.
Bring gratitude to your body.
Bring gratitude to your feet and legs for allowing you to walk,
Run,
Dance and play for the strength that they give you,
The power that they have.
Traveling up the body to your tummy,
Heart and chest,
Feel this entire area expand with each inhale as it reminds you of who you are.
Now,
Bring awareness to your shoulders,
Arms,
Hands and fingers.
All of these parts of your body give you so much freedom to navigate your life.
Finally,
Bring attention to your neck,
Face,
Head and your beautiful mind.
Think of the smiles that you have had on your face.
Think of something that will put that smile on your face right now.
Appreciate the fullness of being alive as you experience feelings of love towards your body.
Your body was created perfectly.
Because we have negative thoughts towards ourselves,
You are not alone in that.
That is your inner critic telling you something that is not true.
For the next while,
Practice leaving that voice of judgement alone.
If those negative thoughts come to you,
Feel free to put them in a box and close that box right up.
Now take a moment to appreciate yourself and give yourself praise.
Take a moment to reflect on what has brought you here.
You have survived 100% of your toughest days.
You have survived those days,
Those difficult times.
That in itself is more reason to give yourself a little extra love.
We tend to share our love with the people around us and sometimes forget to give ourselves that love.
But taking this time will remind you that it is okay to put yourself first.
It is okay to show yourself some love.
If you feel comfortable,
Wrap your arms around your body.
Give yourself a hug.
And as you do,
Repeat these affirmations to yourself.
I am enough.
Happiness is found within.
I release the need to judge myself negatively.
Love flows from within me.
I love the body I was born with.
I accept myself unconditionally.
Whenever you need to fill up that self-love cup,
Come back to these affirmations.
Renee Brown said,
Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do.
Now take a deep breath filling up that beautiful body of yours.
Hold it at the top.
Bring focus to your heartbeat.
And release,
Letting it all go.
Just take a moment here to notice how your body feels.
Finally start to open your eyes,
Bringing your awareness back into your space.
Feel that love course through your body and feel your self-love cup filled right to the top.
Be kind to yourself.
You're doing your best.
Remember you are strong.
You are powerful.
You are beautiful.
Thank you for joining me on this self-love journey.
We're all in this together.
Have a magical day.
