Hi and welcome to this meditation for concentration.
We'll be using our focus on the breath and counting each inhale and exhale.
Sit comfortably.
With the back upright,
Relax the face,
Relax the jaw.
Feel the natural state of the body.
Notice the natural state of the breath.
Not judging,
Simply allowing it to be.
Feel the breath rising and falling.
The breath coming in through the nostrils,
The breath going out through the nostrils.
The natural breath as it is,
Without changing anything.
Notice the natural state,
The natural flow.
Open the awareness,
Soften the focus,
And open the field of vision.
You may have the eyes downcast,
Resting the gaze two to three feet in front of you.
Not closing the eyes,
But having a relaxed gaze.
Allow all five senses to be open.
We won't resist sight,
We won't resist sensation,
We won't resist noise.
Whatever comes,
We let it come.
We bring our awareness back to the breath.
Now without changing the breath,
Start to count each breath.
Inhale,
We count one.
Exhale,
We count two.
Inhale again,
We count three.
Exhale again,
We count four.
Count the breath until you reach ten.
Then start again from one.
Inhale,
One.
Exhale,
Two.
Inhale again,
Three.
Exhale again,
Four.
We'll count our breaths,
One to ten.
Then begin again from one.
Breathe.
Counting each breath,
One to ten.
If the mind forgets the count,
It's fine.
Begin from one.
Counting each breath,
Directing the mind to focus.
Breathe.
If we count past ten,
It's okay.
Begin from one.
Counting each breath,
Mind landing in the present.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Counting each breath,
Not changing the breath.
We won't resist sight,
Sound,
Bodily sensations,
Or thought.
Allow the senses to be open.
Counting the breath,
One to ten.
Then begin again.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
If we count,
One,
Two,
And then lose the count,
It's fine.
The mind got lost in thought.
We'll begin from one.
One to ten.
Counting the inhales and the exhales.
Landing in this present moment.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
At this time,
Relax the concentration.
Release the count.
Release the mind from the breath,
Breathing normally.
Notice any sensations in the body.
And now,
In your own time,
Whenever you feel ready,
You may slowly,
Gently open the eyes.
Thank you for practicing this guided meditation with me on focus and concentration.
Now you're ready to tackle whatever is ahead of you.
Have a great rest of your day and namaste.
