Hi and welcome to In the Flow with Lorie Albert,
A podcast designed to teach us to manifest our best lives in every moment and every day.
Let's get in the flow.
Namaste and welcome in.
My favorite,
Favorite subject of all time that I could literally talk about for hours.
I get to talk about manifestation today.
Yes.
So but here's the deal.
In this very small timeframe,
I want to dig in to as much information as I can give you on describing and all the things that I can tell you about about manifestation.
The create it,
The live it and the embrace it.
Okay.
I love talking about all this because I wrote a book on it,
Right?
But what is so cool is that it's all so personalized.
That's what I love about this whole thing,
Right?
Now,
It's pretty widely understood due to the popularity of the secret,
If you guys remember that,
And Abraham Hicks,
Right?
That there are generally three sort of steps,
Things that you really kind of want to do when you're manifesting.
Okay.
The first step is to create it.
Okay.
This is my interpretation.
Okay.
There are many different interpretations out there,
But this is what has worked for me,
Right?
Over the many years I've been doing this.
So the first step is to create it.
Create it is basically that it's deciding what you want to manifest.
Okay.
Now,
Sounds kind of easy,
But for some people it might actually be pretty challenging,
Right?
Some people when faced with deciding what they want for their lives,
It can be daunting.
Seriously.
You know,
And honestly,
I'm one of those people,
Right?
If you put,
And I've probably said this before,
But if you put a canvas in front of me and said paint,
I'd be like,
No,
I can't do that.
It's too blank,
Right?
There are too many,
Too many choices,
Right?
But here's the thing about the creation part of manifesting.
It's not just about things and this can help break that down.
Okay.
This whole process is really when you consider it,
It's about being happier,
Being more joyful in your life,
Having that bliss,
Right?
If things bring you joy,
That's fantastic,
Right?
So what I suggest in short for this first step is to look beyond the things.
I mean,
You can talk about the things that you want for yourself in your life,
A new car,
New house,
All of that stuff,
But consider that maybe what you want as well is joy,
Is fun,
Happiness in your life.
And yes,
We can manifest fun.
It's possible.
I've totally done it,
Right?
So I would suggest creating a list for yourself.
Okay.
Create that list.
Okay.
Of everything that you want.
Everything,
Everything,
Emotions,
Feelings,
Things,
Everything.
Okay.
So that was the very short version of the first step of creating it.
Okay.
The next step is to live it.
Now this can be fun.
Another one can be challenging.
This is why I love talking about all three of these together because they're all really intertwined.
Find yourself to feel and live as though in your mind only of course,
That you already have it.
Okay.
Now what I did was when I manifested my convertible,
I put down the windows of my SUV at the time,
You know,
I put that down and pretended that I was driving down the road in a convertible.
That was like one way to sort of live it.
Okay.
So that's the live it process.
Okay.
Live as though you have it,
You know,
In your mind.
And this is where you do like the fun things.
Like you talk about,
You know,
Visualization and journaling.
You do all that stuff,
Right?
So you talk about the living it process.
Okay.
Now,
The third and equally as important part to this is to embrace it all.
Right?
Now imagine the idea,
This is where it gets a little interesting,
Right?
Imagine the idea of giving yourself permission to have all the things that you really want in your life.
Now that might sound like,
Well,
Of course I give myself permission,
But this is the embracing it process and this can be difficult as well.
Right?
And this is why it's kind of work.
It's not like bing,
Bam,
Boom.
For some people it might be,
But most of us have to work at this,
Right?
The embracing process,
Right?
I know might sound crazy,
But when you start to really pay attention to your thoughts and how much you beat yourself up,
Don't we,
And deny ourselves joy and fun,
We deny ourselves.
We start to understand what is blocking us from manifesting,
From getting that joy,
From getting the house that you want,
From getting,
You know,
You have to really consider your thoughts.
I really want to point out some of these main points about your thoughts and how important your thoughts are.
You might think that it's easy,
But when you really need,
What you really need to do in this step is to allow whatever is coming into your thoughts,
Understanding it,
Okay?
This is the work.
This is the actual work part in my head,
Right?
This is the actual work part of this.
Changing your thought processes.
And that's how we begin to really change the dialogue in our heads because then it changes in our reality,
Right?
I deserve joy.
Seriously,
I deserve joy.
Don't you deserve joy?
Now on the thing,
Of course I deserve joy.
I mean,
I'm sure everybody thought right when I said that I deserve joy.
Of course we all deserve joy,
But what does that little voice in your head say?
This is why paying attention to your thoughts and how those negative,
Horrible little mean little things that we say to ourselves.
You know,
I heard somebody say one time,
I say stuff in my head to myself that I would never say to my worst enemy in life,
Right?
When we pay attention to your thoughts and you recognize those negative thoughts like I don't really deserve this,
But I want it anyway.
I don't really deserve a new car,
But I want it anyway.
That confuses the universe.
Because when we have this underlying thought of I don't deserve this,
We won't get it.
So shifting your thoughts,
Okay?
And again,
I get that I'm doing this really fast,
But what I want to say about this is that when you start,
And in my book I talk about taking three or four days and really paying attention to your thoughts,
The negative ones,
The positive ones,
What triggers you,
What doesn't trigger you,
Just paying attention.
And that's a job,
Right?
It's pretty difficult sometimes to really take that time and pay attention to your thoughts because once you realize what triggers those negative thoughts,
Then you can learn to start reprogramming yourself,
Okay?
And that's what I've been doing.
That's what I started to do many,
Many years ago.
Catch myself when I have a thought regarding like I don't deserve that.
Like I don't deserve like a big house with a big bathroom,
Right?
Oh my God.
A nice,
Gorgeous,
Big house with a large bathroom.
So you might say to yourself,
I don't really deserve that.
Do I deserve that?
Why I'm perfectly,
I've been living this way,
But I don't deserve that.
That's going to be too big.
You know,
I mean all of that stuff.
You take these thoughts and we all have all these really conflicting thoughts in our heads.
That's why,
That's partially why I say to,
That's partially why I say to start with a feeling and start small,
You know,
Start with a feeling.
I want to be happier in my life.
That is the process of embracing.
Okay.
And that's the third step,
Right?
So that is the process of embracing.
And this,
What I just said is all great example of the importance of how all three steps really intertwine,
You know,
In teaching ourselves to shift our thoughts.
This is the process of manifestation.
This is the work part.
We create in our minds what we want.
We live as though we have it and we embrace receiving it.
And we shift,
We work really hard on shifting our thoughts to positive ones.
Now as I've said,
Again,
This is a very seriously condensed version of this,
But I wanted to give like an overall view of this today because I think it's important.
This is why I say to pay attention to yourself for like three days or so.
Pay,
You know,
Pay attention to where your thoughts are and just pay attention.
Don't try to change anything.
Just monitor yourself.
You know,
That's like a really interesting part of that.
You know,
Monitoring your thoughts,
Right?
Then you can start to shift the thoughts.
You can start to,
Like when you catch yourself saying,
I don't,
I don't just,
You know,
Really like you really,
You don't deserve that,
That,
That new outfit because you have 20 pounds extra on you or 50 pounds or a hundred pounds,
Whatever.
Right.
You don't deserve that because you're,
You're,
You know,
You have too much weight.
So if you shift that thought and you say,
You know what,
I deserve to look good.
It doesn't matter what my weight is.
I deserve to look good.
I deserve to feel good.
When you have a new outfit,
Don't you feel good?
So it's about feeling good.
You know,
Esther Hicks talks so much about that all the time about the act of actually feeling good.
I know I just gave you guys so much information.
So,
So much,
Right?
And there's a part of it.
This is the fun part.
There's a part of this whole process that is easy.
The concept is easy,
But then comes the real work.
Is working on yourself and your thoughts.
I love when people challenge me like,
You know,
I tried and it didn't work.
Okay,
Then let's break it down.
Let's go through these steps.
Let's talk about what you did for each step.
Right?
You know,
You can't just say,
I'm going to win the lottery.
Come on universe,
Let me have the winning numbers.
I deserve it.
And you can even say,
You know,
Some people even say to themselves,
I deserve the winning numbers.
I deserve to win the lottery.
Absolutely.
We all do.
However,
When they don't win the lottery on that first day of manifesting,
They just,
You know,
That doesn't work.
That's just ridiculous.
But I'm done.
No more manifestation.
That's kind of,
That's crap.
It takes work.
There are always little things going on in our heads that we don't recognize.
You know,
If you just want money,
There are so many,
Regarding money,
Okay,
There are so many thoughts that society puts in our brain about money.
That's why money is probably one of the more difficult things to actually manifest because we have these inherent thoughts,
Thoughts that we learned from when we were a kid.
You know,
Our parents,
Whether they had lack of money or where they had a lot,
Okay.
Or you know,
Whether it was,
You know,
You go out on your own later on in life and you want this jobs and you don't make enough money.
There's all sorts of brain things that happen,
Thought processes that happen regarding money,
Which is why I always talk about,
We're going to just being happy for goodness sake right at the beginning,
Right?
I mean,
Do you really want to like have a better life or do you just want money?
I mean,
Do you really think that money is going to bring all of the happiness in the world?
It can bring some,
Of course,
You know,
I mean,
I'm not that delusional.
So,
All right,
So what I'm going to do,
We're not meditating today,
Clearly.
I want to give you guys a great affirmation,
Okay,
To just say to yourself throughout the course of the rest of the day.
Okay,
So,
And this is,
It's kind of,
It's actually not a big,
Dramatic,
Long affirmation,
But it's one to get you started.
Okay.
So,
The affirmation is this,
I deserve anything I want in my life.
It's pretty simple,
But when you really think about it,
It's pretty dramatic because if you say that to yourself over and over and over and over and over again,
You might just start to believe it.
Okay.
So,
When I just said that,
Did you have a little source of like,
That's your fear.
That's your fear talking,
Right?
I know this is like,
I'm like serious.
I could go on for hours about this.
It is a pretty broad statement,
But you do,
You deserve anything you want in your life.
You can have it.
So,
I deserve anything I want in my life.
This is just,
This isn't actually,
Like you don't have to be manifesting stuff.
This is just to start getting,
You know,
Start to reprogram the stuff in your brain where you say to yourself,
I do,
I deserve anything I want.
Why wouldn't I?
Right?
So,
We're going to take that with us over the weekend.
I have an interesting,
What I believe is a reality based approach to this.
If you want to win the lottery and that's what you want to manifest,
What my sort of way of my process of doing this isn't going to work for you.
You know what I'm saying?
I want you to have a happy life.
I want you to have joy.
I want you,
Has anybody out there ever really truly felt bliss?
I want you to feel bliss.
So,
I deserve anything I want in my life.
